Tons of issues with our new home. We paid to have “insurance” and it doesn’t help. No one at the store can offer help, only pushes it off to someone else. Highly recommend for you to look elsewhere unless you want to throw money away.

Wow where to start? We faced numerous issues during the construction process due to incompetence on the part of Oakwood's staff. Part of that was our driveway was damaged by their negligence. We have sought to have adequate repairs done but due to the issues our driveway has now washed out and is unusable. Additionally, we received a damaged hvac unit. The return trunk lines were not installed at all until we had someone catch the issues. And now months later after making numerous complaints about our hvac we found out that the ducts under that house were not hooked up at all and other issues. Despite being "under warranty" we have had to pay third parties out of pocket to make needed repairs. There have been so many issues we had a company come in and do an inspection. When presented with the inspection report Oakwood stopped communicating. Among the issues listed in the report are ones that we have complained about prior to moving in. Every major system has had issues. It has been almost a year and still no resolution in sight. If I could give Oakwood negative stars I would. I feel like we were ripped off.

They have really nice modular homes! The staff was friendly. The homes are open for viewing. They are not customizable, so the layout you see will be the layout you get. They have great prices. I visited while house hunting so I'm going to visit a few other places, but so far they are at the top of my list of where I want to buy my home from.
