  Parking is terrible but on top of parking being SO bad you have to park at the leasing office some nights — you have people saving parking spots right in the front of their buildings with motorcycles. Then, they’ll park their car infront of it and leave it for months. This needs attention asap.

  I had a great experience at Elwood. The service is by far the best. The Property Manager, Sara is very knowledgeable and helpful. She answered all of my questions and is very responsive. I can tell she cares about the community and residents. The grounds are well maintained, apartments are in great condition and overall a nice community. I highly recommend this place to anyone in search for a new home!

  I had such an amazing experience at Elwood Apartments! From start to finish, Mikel made the entire process smooth, professional, and stress-free. He was patient, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure I found exactly what I needed. Tia, the property manager, deserves her flowers too — she’s truly the heart of Elwood! Her warm personality, attention to detail, and genuine care for residents make this community feel like home. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to live with a team that truly values people, I highly recommend Elwood Apartments. Ask for Mikel and tell Tia she’s the best — you’ll be in great hands!

  I lived here for 3 years. I don’t want to be disrespectful, but the office staff really needs to improve their resident service. The assistant manager even came to our door a few times with unnecessary accusations, which made us feel uncomfortable. The maintenance team, especially Anthony and Pablo, are amazing — always kind and helpful. The move-out process was very disappointing. They charged for things beyond normal wear and tear, like 80% of the carpet replacement, $40 per child safety lock, and $25 for a forgotten glass and grater. The assistant’s attitude was unpleasant, and I honestly felt relieved to leave. I’m only sharing my personal experience so future residents know what to expect and can be prepared. If you decide to move here, document everything and leave the apartment spotless to avoid losing a large part of your security deposit. Despite everything, the place itself is physically nice and a beautiful area to live in. Update: Assistant manager went on 12 pm which my husband is working from 7 am to 6 pm everyday. Phone calls and emails exist so you don’t have to go to your residents door or ring the bell. Also future residents if you can put rings cameras on the door too. :)

  I had a very unpleasant experience with leasing ASSISTANT MANAGER always wants to be right, speaks in a rude and condescending way, and never shows any willingness to help tenants. She acts as if she were the boss, even though she’s not, and treats people with a clear lack of respect and empathy. I’ve also noticed discriminatory behavior toward Spanish-speaking residents, which is completely unacceptable. What’s worse is that no one at Elwood Apartments does anything to address her attitude, even though several tenants have had similar experiences. If you’re thinking about renting at Elwood Apartments, be careful — at first she acts nice and welcoming, but once you’ve moved in, dealing with her becomes a nightmare. A huge disappointment in terms of service and resident care. I’m writing this follow-up because Elwood Apartments responded to my previous review. This morning, I received a phone call from the same leasing assistant mentioned in my review, asking why I had posted it. That call made me feel uncomfortable and intimidated. When I leave a review, it’s simply to share my personal experience as a tenant — not to be contacted afterward. My review wasn’t about her ability to speak Spanish, but about the way she communicates and her attitude, which made my experience unpleasant. I just wanted to make that clear, because residents should be able to share honest feedback without fear of being called or questioned for it.
