It’s been 10 years I’m still waiting on a place. I’ve live in several county’s and states an everything moves faster than HIGH POINT NC WAITING LIST AT THIS PLACE!! They also made it a rule to not give you any information on your application once received.they can’t tell you ANYTHING,like other states and county’s CAN. This place needs an update and changes nobody should be waiting over 3/5 years for an apartment or voucher to come through. Over ten years I’m currently in Maryland housing development lol smfh

the staff in office are not compassionate at all ive been on the waiting list for a good minute and everytime i check up on it im given different runarounds from “we put a few people ahead of you because they are military related” to “you will receive an offer in the mail when you have one” to “i cannot discuss those details with you” to “i forgot i see so many people each day”. its just tiring and so unfair because im a young working woman with no criminal history besides a minor driving history and i have only one child but me and my small child really need a home. im sure i will have to speak to a higher representative in the near future. to all the other moms dealing with the same issues dont depend on this place and if you do, dont let it be the only thing to wait for try and find some cheap apartments in the meantime like i am trying to do. im so mentally and emotionally exhausted. i know people who have a criminal history and no job thats gotten a place from these people before i have smh. it just doesnt make since to me. they also need to hire a more diverse staff everyone is pretty much from the same ethnic background in this office.
