I STILL HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THEM NOR GOTTEN ANY KIND OF LETTER STATING WHERE IM AT ON THEIR WAITING LISTS. THEY DID SEND ME YO 2 DIFFERENT APARTMENTS FOR THE ELDERLY AND DISABLED. THE 1ST WAS ON ELM ST IN HIGH POINT. I WAS FLABBERGASTED. THE PEOPLE IN THE PARKING LOT AND LOBBY WERE SOMETHING TO BE DESIRED. AND I MEET A WOMAN ABOUT MY AGE IN THE PARKING LOT. SO I QUESTIONED HER ABOUT THE APARTMENTS AND AREA. SHE TOLD ME TO PLZ DON'T RENT ANYTHING THERE BC ITS FULL OF DRUG DEALERS AND PROSTITUTES AND THE SMELL WAS DISPICABLE. AND THAT SHE WAS TRYING TO GET OUT HERSELF. THE 2ND APARTMENT HP HOUSING SENT ME TO WAS ON PARK AVENUE IN HP. I DROVE UP AND THE WHOLE BUILDING LOOKED LIKE IT WAS ABOUT TO COLAPS. I KNOW THAT WR THAT NEED HOUSING HELP SHOULD KEEP OPEN MINDS. AND BELUEVE ME. I HAVE. IM JUST NOT ABOUT TO MOVE SOMEWHERE THAT I HAVE TO WATCH MY BACK ALL THE TIME BC OF THE CRIME RATE AND IM NOT LIVING IN A DUMP. I WUD RATHER LIVE OUT OF MY CAR. WHICH I HAVE BEEN FOR A WHILE NOW. IVE ACTUALLY FILLED OUT 33 APPLICATIONS FOR INCOME BASED APARTMENTS IN 3 DIFFERENT TOWNS. AND SO FAR. NOTHING IS AVAILABLE YET. I KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE NEED HELP. AND I DO PRAY EVERYONE GETS THE HELP THEY NEED. BUT IN A DECENT SAFE NIEGHBORHOOD AND APARTMENT COMPLEX AND OR HOUSING PLACES. GOD HELP AND BLESS US ALL. HALLELUJAH AMEN 🙏

They also made it a rule to not give you any information on your application once received.they can’t tell you ANYTHING,like other states and county’s CAN. This place needs an update and changes nobody should be waiting over 3/5 years for an apartment or voucher to come through. Over ten years I’m currently in Maryland housing development lol smfh
