- TSTom SuttonJul 2, 20252.0RYAN HOMES: You can do better. If you’re looking to buy, keep looking. Ryan Homes look nice, have pretty good floor plans BUT, they do a horrible job at putting them together. Our home is consistent with many of the others, in that they have numerous defects that have lead to constant little battles with Ryan management to make things right. Example: Hot & cold water hooked up backwards Both showers ran only cold water Exhaust fan blew back into the kitchen instead of outside Air conditioner was improperly installed Cabinet slides broke on the first day Inadequate drainage in backyard Hot water temperature set too high (scalding hot) In short, they just rushed through to get finished. These are just a few that we experienced. Some of our neighbors experienced even more than that. Some had appliances that failed, many had drainage issues. In fact, our community has asked state and local authorities to help rectify community drainage problems as Ryan Homes would not. So, if you’re in the market to buy, Ryan Homes might not your best choice. Just saying. UPDATE: Time to give credit where credit is due: NICK. Nick is our contact person for Ryan Homes. His job is to fix the little messes, (or find technicians who can) that Ryan Homes left behind from their poor workmanship. Anyway, this time it was the garage door opener, or more accurately the myQ system. Nick worked for over an hour trying to get us back online; he just wouldn’t give up. He tried everything he knew, called others for their input; he even called myQ technicians for help. It was a frustrating situation for a while, especially in a very hot garage. But Nick wouldn’t quit. Finally, after everything was checked and rechecked, he finally found the problem. Everything is working fine now, thanks to Nick. Does that change my opinion of Ryan Homes? Certainly NOT! In fact, I have wanted to change my rating down to one star (or less) but decided to leave it as is. I can say that Ryan Homes has at least one exceptional employee: Nick. Good work Nick.

- NCNic CullenDec 18, 20223.0House for the most part is okay however build quality is not the best. -Flooring is extremely cheap and we even upgraded to Whitby package. -Counter tops included with the Whitby package are falling apart. Everyone we worked with throughout the building process was amazing however if I could do it over again I would go with Pulte.
