This is by far the best property I've been at. I really appreciate Wendy and the entire staff, if I ever need anything everyone is super helpful. I love the area and the property itself is gorgeous everything about this place gives good vibes.

Recently have experienced the worst customer service thru Preferred Parking that handles the parking here. I received validated parking passes from a resident after a visit that had an expiration date of a month away. The gate system was malfunctioning and would not let me exit. Spoke to two customer service representatives and their supervisor, a Mr. Derrick(no last name) who were all extremely unprofessional and requested I wait FIFTEEN minutes in that dark, damp, unsecured parking deck until someone showed up. When Dean arrived to let us out, the ticket all of a sudden worked and I was allowed to exit. It’s beyond inconvenient & overall unacceptable for that kind of service to be provided by a company when I’m certain they are compensated generously.

The Ellis is arguably one of the worst apartments not just in uptown but all of charlotte itself. From being near a homeless camp and countless of homeless people being aggressive when you get out the apartment, multiple cars break ins the hotel next to it the valet drivers speed like they are nascar drivers and not to mention multiple accident occurred there. Shootings also a bullet went into one of the midrise apartments. From management it’s worse also Wendy is a nightmare not professional at all very rude and abrasive not sure how she got her position. Just do your self a favor and don’t move here

If you want luxury high rise The Ellis is not the place for you. Management is incompetent , location is very unsafe. There’s shootings and people breaking into cars at the “gated”parking garage (which never works ) , car accidents at the parking garage because of reckless drivers happening almost every weekend ,a lot of homelessness and drug dealers around the corner . If you are on a budget and want to experience high rise i know prices can sound good but the experience and location of this place is not worth it at all

I’ve lived at The Ellis for about two years now, and I just want to shout out the maintenance team — especially Jesus. Last night (12/14) one of my smoke detectors started going off due to low batteries, and by the next day (12/15) Jesus responded quickly and handled everything without any hassle. He replaced two smoke detectors — one in my bedroom and one in the bathroom — and made sure everything was working properly before he left. What really stands out is consistency. This isn’t the first time he’s helped me — a few months back he also fixed my dryer and replaced a part so it was working like new again. Every time something comes up, Jesus is professional, calm, and efficient. You can tell he actually cares about the residents and takes pride in his work. It’s always reassuring knowing that when something needs attention, it’s handled quickly and done right. Maintenance like this really makes a difference in the overall living experience at The Ellis.
