UPDATE 5/19: Now that we've been in this Pulte community for 2 months today, we want to provide a helpful update on a few things we've experienced so future purchasers can be fully aware of them. [DUMPING CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS] The most concerning thing has been the dumping of construction materials, namely a 1.5x1 foot pile of black spray foam dumped into our front yard (past the sidewalk, so a worker definitely came into our front yard to do this). This has happened a few times now. The crew was out yesterday & today, & we have made sales & the construction crew aware, & it was cleaned up as of 11AM the next day after reporting. We are still not comfortable with being a dumping ground for construction materials & will not be cleaning up after careless dumping, & I don't think any new build homeowner would be okay with this. All construction on our end of the rd. is complete, so someone is going out of their way to do this. We were also sold dead grass that's taking forever to grow as is, see photos. [CLOSING DAY] Our sales team switched over 2x in the 2.5-month span from walkthru to closing, so there was a huge avoidable miscomm. about where our keys were on Closing Day we did not appreciate. We were assured by the 2 sales reps we worked with as a team, Liza & Kelli, that we would be able to pick up our keys from the sales office at Stewart's Landing after closing due to our choice to close with a different firm (instead of builder firm, Costner). We confirmed this multiple xs in the weeks leading up to close, but on Closing Day, the entire sales team was out of office with no notice and a temp employee was working that day. Suddenly no one had any idea where our keys were when we emailed that morning to just confirm. Ryan looked into this & confirmed we should go to the builder firm, Costner, to sit & wait for our deed to be filed & for our keys to be released. We sat there 2hrs. When our deed was recorded, Costner THEN looked for our keys only to confirm they did not have them. They were in the SL sales office the entire time, but the temp & Ryan had no idea about that info somehow, & we'd been given incorrect info causing us to sit somewhere for 2 hours we should not have. [HOA] We have had other strange issues, such as the HOA not providing us with portal access for about 1 month after closing (despite ALL FEES being due at close) & not having one of us as eligible members/homeowners. We reached out multiple times via email to intro ourselves & ask for portal access, & our emails were ignored. I called to ask why we couldn't get a reply & was told only my husband was in the system as an HOA member, my name wasn't in there as a resident of this community. I said, "I'm on the deed, can you help me understand?" and was told, "I'll walk back to Accounting & ask her about it." After being on hold, it was confirmed there was an accounting error & I was now in the system. There are only 2 names on our deed. [THEFT] FYI, our neighbors' chandelier was stolen off their front porch during move-in day. [ORIGINAL REVIEW] We live in our dream home thanks to Pulte & our incredible Builder Manager, Adam. Pulte is fairly communicative & professional, we were impressed. As 2 ppl in the legal field doing this on our own (after about 10yrs of thinking maybe we'd never own & would forever rent), we can be somewhat skeptical, detail-oriented, & hesitant, but Pulte made the process easy & exciting. We went with a different mortgage provider for our FHA loan due to some inaccurate & very slow comms on the Pulte Mortgage side of things, but we did not experience that same vagueness & frustration on the builder side of things. We watched our house get built from week to week in true awe of the craftsmanship, portal updates, & communicative front office staff. Liza & Amanda really made us feel confident & grateful in our decision to buy a Pulte home. The community is still underway, & we are excited to watch it unfold. We were leaning on renovating an older build for years to come, give Pulte a shot/walkthru. We'd love to be neighbors!
