    The lack of communication and basic attention to the building is unbelievable. I’ve emailed the leasing team four times about the most simple daily issues - the coffee machine being empty, overflowing, or completely unusable — and nothing ever gets fixed (see pic below from 7am). There’s no sense of community, no follow-through, and the elevators are broken half the time. When residents bring up concerns, it feels like the staff just shrugs them off (because they are repeat concerns). It’s clear they seem checked out and not invested in the people who actually live here. Save yourself the frustration.

    I’ve lived at South & Hollis since December 2024 and recently renewed my lease. One of the reasons I chose this apartment when I moved to Charlotte was because I felt like the staff were upfront with me about what they offered, and I didn’t feel like they were trying to “sell me” on the complex. The gym is great. The pool is small but nice. I’ve never had issues with packages. When I moved in (I believe I was the first person in my unit) I had a wall of outlets that didn’t work and maintenance worked quickly to resolve the issue and kept me updated the entire time. There’s also a cleaning crew here throughout the week who keep all the common areas nice and clean. My only complaint would be that the amount of traffic coming in and out of Hollis Road has tripled since Haraz Coffee has opened (it’s on the bottom floor of the complex), which has been a little frustrating, but I know that’s not an apartment issue. Lastly, this is a very dog friendly community and it’s been great for my dog and making friends with others who live here!

    I lived here since July of last year and loved every moment of it. The building nice and smells amazing like the first day i moved here. The office staff does an awesome job with keeping it clean and smelling fresh. I’ve seen a lot of people come and go as far as staff but Toriano. He’s been amazing truly amazing and we love that. Susana and Ayanna are very helpful. I love being here and love that i can call this place home. I love that the Christmas decorations are set up it makes it feel welcoming and like home.

    Ayanna and Toriano are amazing. Always available to help if I need it. The cleaning crew is also amazing. Hallways are always smelling and looking good, amenities are cleaned daily also, elevators stay clean. Definitely one of the reasons I love it here. I love that the gate is never out of order, it keeps our building secure. The building and my apartment are gorgeous and I have so many places to host. My only complaint is there are never any events. When I toured last year I showed up on a day they had a great community event and I was told there were event coordinators. I've been here a few months and we've had nothing memorable. Living in south end, I see other buildings with food trucks and planned nights. My mom literally lives in huntersville and they had a candle making night. There should be events taking advantage of the year round pool, common areas, game room, etc. especially in this area we should be getting fitness events monthly if not quarterly. Very active area, events are necessary. Looking forward to this month's event and the others to come. I was looking forward to at least 2 a month. We're currently at 0. Otherwise great, if you're looking for events, this community may not be for you.

    I've lived at South & Hollis for about a year and for the last 2.5 months I've had an outstanding maintenance request on the humidity in the apartment causing mold to grow all over my clothing and inside drawers, ruining the clothing as well as causing a dry cough and tinnitus in my ears (yes, these are both symptoms of mold toxicity). After multiple conversations with both leasing and maintenance in addition to multiple maintenance requests being submitted, the issue has remained unresolved since August 2025. While the overall community looks nice, this experience has caused severe distress financially, medically, and in pretty much every other way imaginable. Trying to contact management who will actually define a legitimate remediation plan for my damaged property and physical, emotional, and financial burden has been like pulling teeth. Leasing has been extremely standoffish and unhelpful regarding this issue. I would not recommend living here based off this experience as it could cause long-term health issues for you as it possibly already has for me. Leasing, maintenance, and management have shown blatant signs of neglect and do not look out for the tenant's best interest. (Have about 50 more photos of my ruined clothing as well and will be screenshotting this review in case it's deleted).
