3 stars – Charlotte area The home itself and the surrounding area were both great, and overall we enjoyed living there during our stay. However, the move-out experience was extremely disappointing. After moving out, we were charged what felt like excessive cleaning and trash fees, including charges for items that had already been cleaned and for one extra trash bag placed next to a full bin. We were also billed for multiple months of trash service-related charges without receiving a clear explanation. What made the situation more frustrating was the lack of communication. I repeatedly requested to speak with someone directly, called the number provided with no answer Instead only received generic email responses before the case was ultimately closed without resolution. Prior to this experience, I would have recommended renting with them. Unfortunately, after the way the move-out process was handled, I would instead recommend considering sourxing other rental companies. My expected refund dropped from over $1,600 to under $1,000, making this the worst move-out experience I’ve personally had.

I've been renting from progress for 7 years now and I've just recently transferred to a different progess home and I've been through some technicians. Some good and some bad but today Milton came and fixed a few issues and was extremely professional, he had his shoe covers on before he came in, respectful, and took his time. He worked on my issues as if it was his "Grandma's house" that's how technicians should approach every job. Brandon, Homar, and Tyler are also very good technicians with progress. They are very professional, respectful and fixed my problems correctly and took their time. All these guys above are welcome to come and fix any future issue that happen. 5 stars for all them. Luis and Jakary on the other hand are very unprofessional technicians. These 2 are disrespectful, didnt do the jobs correctly, and just dont care. These 2 techs get -10 stars.

Thank you, Karen Garcia Montes, for helping me through my eviction proceedings. You answered all my questions, explained my ledger clearly, and helped my family stay in our home. You were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind throughout the entire process.

These 5 stars are only dor the experience I had with Demetria. I will definitely say as a resident that Progress does always what they can to work with you if possible. I had some unforeseen circumstances and really appreciate Demetria assisting me and going above and beyond to help me stay in my home. You are an angel. I even heard snickers from your coworkers when I told them what you were doing but you did that from the kindness of your heart and I am truly grateful for your customer service. Keep shining!!!

I toured this property and applied on March 3 and was approved on March 4. From the beginning, I made it clear that I needed to move out of my current residence by the end of the month. I initially selected a March 15 move-in date through their system, but later found out that tenants are not allowed to move in on Sundays, even though their system allows that date to be selected. Because of this, the date had to be changed after the fact. After I paid my security deposit, I was issued a new lease on March 11 with a May 11 move-in date due to HOA requirements. I signed this lease and relied on it as a confirmed plan, and this date was also reflected in Progress Residential’s system. After questioning why my move-in date had been pushed two months out after I had already paid my deposit, I was told that an earlier move-in would be pursued. I was also told that following up too frequently with the HOA could cause delays, which I had to request updates altogether. None were proactively given at all. The HOA did not meet approval timelines for either a March 15 or March 27 move-in. During this process, I was explicitly told that if earlier move-in plans did not work out, I would be able to revert back to the May 11 lease. After relying on that information and making plans accordingly on March 27th (since they still had no updates), I was later told on March 30th that the May 11 lease was no longer valid and that leadership could not accommodate move-in dates that far out. This directly contradicts the lease that was issued and signed, as well as the information previously provided. At no point was it communicated that attempting to adjust the move-in timeline would void the previously approved lease. This is critical information that should have been clearly disclosed before asking tenants to move forward with updated timelines or documents. Even after I confirmed I would proceed with the May 11 date, I was later presented around March 30–31 with a new potential move-in date of April 8. This was a significantly shorter turnaround than prior timelines that were not met, making it unrealistic and adding further inconsistency. Throughout this process, there were repeated delays, multiple unconfirmed lease timelines, and a lack of follow-up despite being told I would receive updates. I also attempted to escalate these concerns to a supervisor but was unable to do so. The only outreach I received did not include a name or a way to reconnect, and I was later told I could not contact a supervisor without having their name. Despite applying early, these delays, ongoing inconsistencies, and contradictions set me up to be left without housing. Additionally, I have since seen that my application was marked as cancelled in the system without any direct communication or response to my withdrawal and refund request, which further reflects the lack of transparency and communication throughout this process. Throughout this experience, I repeatedly received apologies, but no consistent or reliable resolution. I ultimately decided not to move forward due to the lack of consistency, transparency, and communication. I am currently awaiting resolution regarding my security deposit. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering renting through this company ensure that all timelines and approvals are fully confirmed before making any financial or logistical decisions especially in any of the Carob Tree Lane Townhomes of Charlotte, NC under Progress Residential. To be clear also for the response to this, look up your 8248 Carob Tree Lane property since I see that other reviews have comments saying you can’t find the applicants in the system.
