Toured this place in January hoping to sign a lease for May, was given a price that was perfectly in my range, but was told to come back in March to officially sign for a May lease. Checked back in February and base rents were raised $200+. Sent an email asking if I would be granted the rate I was given when I toured and was told no. Really only disappointed because I was guided to come back in March to sign. Was super excited about this place, but feel like this wasn’t handled very fairly.

The location is amazing and price is good. However, management could improve communication and resident support during ongoing building upgrades. There are currently several improvement projects happening at once, and while updates are appreciated, the execution has created significant inconvenience for residents.
For example, during the ongoing flooring replacements, the glue smell is horrible— smells like toxic chemicals, lingers for weeks, and seeps into your apartment. I literally have to hold my breath in the hallways. Residents were also instructed to remain in their units for approximately two full days during installation, which was difficult and disruptive.
Additionally, the transition to the new app-based access system has not been handled smoothly. The previous fobs were deactivated before the new system was fully operational, leaving only a small percentage of doors functioning for several weeks. This has required residents to take indirect routes through the building to access their units. The app is also unreliable— sometimes it fails to open the parking gate and other doors.
Overall, while improvements are understandable, residents would benefit from better planning during transitions and consideration of temporary accommodations or rent concessions when disruptions are significant. Being tied to a lease should not mean residents are expected to tolerate substantial disruptions without accountability or care.
This place is a dump - broken door locks so anyone can walk in off the street (been like that since Avenue 5 took over), it’s filthy, dog poop everywhere, pest infestations, failing appliances. Management have their friends/family give high ratings to push negative reviews down the page, so take those with a grain of salt. The management team is by far the worst. Avenue 5 gave too much power to inept people and it has gone to their heads. They do not communicate at all, they ignore residents, and they have let this property go to trash. Far better places to live than this place.
Christmas Saved!
Prior tenants, my wife and I accidentally sent an important X-Mas gift to LaVie.
In a panic after realizing our mistake, we rushed over to LaVie in hopes of retaining our gift.
This is where Jessica, Kaylha, and Danyelle exhibited some serious holiday spirit.
Digging through countless, freshly delivered boxes, the ladies unraveled the mystery of the misplaced present.
These ladies stepped up to the plate and helped old tenants without blinking an eye.
This is the kind of service you can expect at LaVie. We enjoyed our time living there.
Thanks again!

Huge shout-out to our maintenance manager! Always professional, quick to respond, and truly cares about the residents. It’s rare to find someone who takes so much pride in their work!
