I’ve been living in the community for almost 5 years. I will say it sure has been a wonderful experience. The office staff, maintenance and management has been very prompt, professional and kind! I would definitely recommend living here to anyone who may be interested in joining our lovely community! I love living here! :-)

I've lived in Elmhurst for over 2 years now and it's been such a great place to live! The community is quiet, safe, convenient to everything in South End + Dilworth and even Park Rd Shopping Center, maintenance is quick to respond, neighbors are kind and look out for each other / take care of their stuff. The price is great as well, since really the only amenities are the pool and the ample/free parking. The units are older, but I think it gives them a lot of charm / "homey" feel about them that I've really loved living at. The only complaint I might have is the HVAC/AC is a little loud when it's running downstairs, but it heats/cools fine and I can't hear it upstairs! Otherwise, great place to live for a great price.

Marsh Properties is easily the best property owners in Charlotte, managing numerous apartment communities across Charlotte like The Brinkley, The Edge, and Queens at Granville, focusing on historic and modern developments in areas such as South End, Myers Park, and SouthPark. Their home base is located 1 mile from the Sedgefield apartments, which shows they're actually invested in improving and supporting the local community, unlike almost all of the other big apartment management companies operating in the Queen City. The apartment community is quiet and the amenities are average, but the apartment itself is perfect for the needs of a couple or small family with a single child and small dog or cat. If I had to complain, it would be that the lighting in certain areas of the property needs improvements, specifically near the living room/bedroom windows on the end units. The location is great if you work on South Blvd, and is only a few miles away from access to the highway ramp on Remount road. The current rate of rent is fair considering the age of the building and utilities, and you have to rent or bring your own washer and drier. There are no scam fees like "pet rent". Any place that tries to get you to pay "pet rent" is not a place you want to give your money to anyways. I'm always willing to answer any questions anyone has about my experience with Marsh, as it's been light-years ahead of any other service I've experienced in my 20 years living and renting in the Queen City.

I have enjoyed living at Marsh properties for the last year and a half. The price is great for the location - being able to walk around Sedgefield and be right in between South Blvd and Park Rd. The leasing staff are always kind and accommodating along with the maintenance staff. As the apartments are old, they can be a little janky at times (ie having to always dry clothes twice because the dryer is old, paying a little more in utilities because insulation isn’t the newest, and occasionally bugs). The units are old so some of that comes with the territory but overall they are very spacious and management is very easy to work with which is a priority for me.

I’ve been living at Elmhurst for 2+ years and I love it. My one bedroom is very spacious for the small square footage and the rent is very reasonable. The apartments are old but have been well maintained and the management and maintenance team have been very responsive when I’ve needed them (twice). The parking is plentiful and near each apartment so you don’t have to drive around to find a place and lug your groceries from a distance to your door. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly and near anything you need-food, groceries, gas, parks and recreation. I recommend living here if you want a quiet place and don’t want to pay for amenities you’ll never use.
