As a current resident of The Aster for almost 6 months, I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience. These apartments are beautiful inside, but the quality of living is undermined by poor management. - Privacy violations: Management entered my apartment attempting to take photos without consent, labeling it as an “inspection” in a mass email to residents. No inspection was actually conducted - I was present for this. Kettler may own the property itself, but they do not own my personal belongings. This is a breach of my lease. - Maintenance delays: Requests have taken 18 days to even be acknowledged. These were not urgent, but I am a paying tenant who is paying for a service, and three weeks is excessive. - Noise complaints ignored: Multiple emails about ongoing issues with my upstairs neighbor - I'm told "We'll send a note to your neighbor", which at this point, is a broken record. I asked what next steps are, and I was completely ignored. Again, a breach of my lease. Professional conduct: Being dismissed as “snippy” for being direct, or having emails ignored, is unacceptable. The lack of communication offers a very negative tone for residents who pay for a service. As a paying resident, I expect to feel valued and understood, not dismissed. Trash management: The point in paying for valet trash is to keep this area maintained; So because of this service, some residents think it's ok to leave their trash in their provided bin in the hallways for days - the hallways reek of garbage smell because of this. It's unfair to ask residents to pay for this, if you aren't going to enforce accountability, or keep this area sanitary. (See attached images - that garbage was sitting outside my neighbors door for 3 days - rotting pinapple) I’ve attempted to resolve all these issues with onsite management and corporate via multiple emails - all ignored. This lack of transparency and responsiveness is unacceptable, especially for a complex marketed as “luxury.” It builds resentment for tenants who trusted the process when signing a lease. Because of this ongoing negligence, I am escalating these issues to the appropriate regulatory agencies today. I hope this review serves as a warning to prospective residents and motivates management to finally address their responsibilities.

Came to the reviews to see if others were having the same issues with management and maintenance or if it was just me. After move in it took them about a month and me asking repeatedly to give me a working mailbox key. I was waiting for an important package. I even called Kettler’s business office. Landscaping continuously leave the gates open which is a safety risk for my small dog, who got out because of their negligence. My fire alarm was going off continuously on a Sunday evening and it felt like emergency maintenance was trying to dissuade me from having them come because “….well its gonna take me AT LEAST an hour to get there.” Meanwhile I’m having a full on panic attack cuz the thing is screeching at full blast every 3 seconds. I moved here 6 months ago, maintenance never came to fix the things I requested at move in…ok that’s ok. I can live with those minor things going undone they aren’t incredibly inconvenient. I can live with the hole under the carpet in my bedroom, not being able to close the bedroom door fully or the garage making loud screechy “I need oil” sounds every time it opens. The latest is I’ve asked at least 3 times that my garage be repaired because it won’t respond to the opener. I was told they couldn’t get to me the same day although I’ve consistently made 3 prior requests over the span of 2 weeks and months ago I told them that the opener was faulty and worked intermittently. I was told “someone was going to stop by to check it out” then. They never did. So this time, it’s stopped working altogether. I was told someone would come by Wednesday, they didn’t. I explained that I don’t feel safe leaving my garage open or having to be outside when I have to leave for work when it’s still dark out. I was told someone would come by Friday, they didn’t. So I’m having to pull up to my garage. Turn my car off, get out of the car, unlock my front door, go into the garage push the button manually, go back out to my car and move it into the garage finally. This is each and every time I have to move my car. Kinda defeats the purpose of having a garage. Yes, there are parking spots but there’s a reason I wanted a garage. Maintenance acts like they’re doing you a favor or can’t be bothered. And while I do recognize that it’s a big complex and this isn’t an emergency, I could be spending my good $3000 a month somewhere else. I haven’t had one request fulfilled that I’ve not had to make multiple times and it took forever to complete. I mean either hire more maintenance staff or be more efficient. At least give a realistic timeline so I can plan and NOT wait at home all day just be placated by being told “tomorrow” over and over again. Office staff are very kind, the neighbors are great, the community is beautiful but things are annoyingly inefficient.

Great staff and amenities. But pray you have quiet neighbors both beside and above you. paper thin walls have caused me to be woken up at least 6 times the past week. They are to the point you can hear full conversations.

My recent visit to the Aster was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment you arrive, the property exudes luxury, sophistication, and a welcoming atmosphere. The attention to detail in the common areas, the state-of-the-art amenities, and the beautiful apartments themselves are all exactly what you would expect from a high-end residence. However, what truly sets the Aster apart is its people. Every staff member we encountered was professional, courteous, and genuinely happy to help. But I have to give a special shout-out to Ja’Leia, who absolutely made our visit. From the moment we met her, Ja’Leia greeted us with the warmest and most friendly welcome. She has a natural ability to make you feel not just like a prospective resident, but like a valued guest in her own home. Her passion for the community is contagious, and her knowledge of the building and its offerings is impressive. She took the time to listen to what we were looking for and tailored the tour perfectly, all while sharing personal anecdotes that made the experience feel authentic and comfortable. It’s clear that Ja’Leia isn’t just doing a job; she is genuinely invested in creating a wonderful experience for everyone she meets. Her positive energy and kind demeanor are a true asset to the Aster team. While the building itself is magnificent, it is people like Ja’Leia who create a sense of home. Our visit was fantastic because of her, and she is a major reason we are so excited about the possibility of calling the Aster home. Highly, highly recommend!
