I also recommend this place to anyone who is not able to tour before moving. The fellow 5-star ratings are all justified. Carolina Apartments is an easy walk and bicycle ride to Carrboro/Chapel Hill and UNC and has a selection of bus stops to choose from. The management and maintenance here are very helpful and professional. Tracy, Taiesha, and Jessica have all been very communicative and friendly throughout my time here. Someone was always available during normal hours to answer my questions. The maintenance crew is quick and efficient to respond. I've only had positive experiences putting in work orders for things that needed to get fixed. For those who have not lived in NC and are concerned with cockroaches - It is inevitable that you will come across them renting an apartment here. I lived on a second floor and usually find one during the warmer weather. To my knowledge, there's someone that sprays a solution around the area you spot them the Thursday after you put in a work request and that will usually get the job done. The pool and common area around the leasing office is always kept clean. They've worked on the area behind the leasing office for the past year or two and improved it tremendously. I've never had any issues with visitor/guest parking or mail boxes. The only thing I would do differently is that I would try to get an apartment that has more sunlight but that's a struggle to deal with in any apartment complex. You will need grow lights if you like plants and find yourself in an apartment facing the woods.
