So far, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with this place! Sure, the hallways have a peculiar smell, but that’s probably just the result of older carpet in a communal area. The apartment itself is amazing! It’s super clean, spacious, and I haven’t had any utility issues. It doesn’t feel like an apartment that was hastily assembled; the appliances are nice and well-appointed.
Michael Labut was the gentleman who helped me. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the terms and conditions, and he was always quick to respond to my questions, even though I ask a lot of them. He was also very kind and honest, which made me feel comfortable asking him anything. I highly recommend asking for him if you’re interested in moving here. And if you are moving, I strongly recommend checking this place out! Thank you Michael!

They don’t do anything about people being rude and they charge for things like the gym and the food bar that we never used I think it should be you scan in and use it then that unit should be charged not the whole complex. Also there always adding on charges like we moved out and cleaned the unit and they trying to charge us for cleaning and the rental insurance we had it for the whole four years we where there and they are trying to still get us to pay it and we will fight it cause we did what we where asked to do and then some. I will tell anyone that ask me if they should move there a big fat NO that it’s not a great place plus the rent for the small two bedroom isn’t worth it

NEW UPDATE: as of Dec 2024, scroll to bottom.
These apartments have changed management but I will list what has consistently been the issue while living here since it will be important to whoever takes over our room. This is a warning and note to anyone that ends up living in 3970, 207.
Currently live here, have been since February 2020. We will be moving out March 27, 2024. Since the year we moved in we have been having issue with the upstairs neighbors in 307. For the first 2 years their dog was loud and clearly untrained. There were many nights when this dog barked for hours on end and I could hear kids in the other complexes yelling for it to shut up. The only thing Management #1 did was send multiple emails of warning. The dog is/was definitely being neglected. I have never seen them take it out for walks. Besides that, they also listen to music and watch TV at high volumes. At the end of 2020 I had surgery and my husband went to talk to them to ask they keep it down while I recover. Said they would but never did. About a year later I confronted them during work. I teach from home and the noise was coming through on the headphones. My kids were being distracted by it. When confronted they made all kinds of excuses saying "are you sure it's us?", "what kind of music did you hear? Probably wasn't us", "it's not quiet hours". When Management #1 found out I did this they told me to not do this again. I then quoted a line from our renters agreement to them saying they need to take care of it or I would. At this point I had called the police twice as well due to their dog. After this it was peaceful for a while.
Fast-forward to when management changed. 307 started being noisy again. When we signal for them to be quiet it's only because I'm teaching. But instead of doing the nice thing and actually stopping, they have a fit and stomp around. They even throw a party that night to spite us. They take no responsibility and instead of training their abused/neglected dog, they go out and buy what sounds like a puppy. Management #2 saw this review and reached out. After talking to me and my husband separately they sent out a lease violation. Within the same week we have the police at our door saying my husband's tires got slashed. Now even if the neighbors never saw this review, it's obvious who would have complained to get them that lease violation since we've had constant issues for 4 years now. While the police was here I asked my husband if they knew it was his car (gesturing up). Police saw this and asked if we have had issue with neighbors. We said yes. They asked if we knew what they looked like. I gave a very basic description and they said they would talk to them (whoever called might have seen them). When they went up, 307 pretended not to be home. We knew they were because we could hear them laughing and when my husband was outside they were on the patio. All evidence points to them but unless we get proof nothing else can be done.
To those who take over, if 307 has not left please know there are at LEAST 3 police reports about them! Just because you might be new doesn't mean you need to start over in this process. We will do all we can to make sure they get punished but if we fail, you have our reports.
EDIT: we have moved out and I don’t know the situation now that we’re in Japan as well! I’m assuming it’s better because we got refunded by the car insurance, somehow it was proven these people did it. I will say, even though my time here was terrible due to these neighbors, the management did try to help as best they could. It was comforting to know they were on our side. If anyone can learn something from this it’s that you need to have hard evidence for more to be done. Park in front of your window and have a baby camera pointed out just in case!
