Where do we even start here… Normally I wouldn’t bother leaving a review, but this company has earned it. I moved into what was supposed to be “new construction,” only to find bags of trash in the bathtub, pee on the toilet, and filthy carpets (I had to pay out of pocket for a professional cleaning — the cleaner said the water came out black). Maintenance was hit or miss, sometimes taking months. Snow came inside the building during winter due to poor construction, and energy costs were through the roof. On top of that, vendors entered my unit without notice - followed by, “we were going to tell you.” Response from the company. The property was originally under different management, so I was hopeful when the new company took over… but that optimism didn’t last long. The new lease was still overpriced compared to similar places nearby, and no one could explain what the “community expenses” would actually cost. I was told I’d be splitting all utilities and upkeep costs with everyone in the building — meaning a single tenant (me) would pay the same as a family of four — with no estimate available. When I asked for clarity, I was told, “we’ll just send you a bill each month.” So basically, sign a blank check. I sent my notice not to renew and moved out. Then came move-out day — I dropped off my keys, had the place professionally cleaned, and thought that was that. Ten days later, with no deposit (which is required by state law if no deductions are made), I reached out… only to be told I hadn’t moved out and was being charged late rent and fees for August. After forwarding my original notice (which had already been acknowledged), the manager apologized and said it was an oversight. She promised to fix the charges and process my deposit. Cue the next round of nonsense: I was told I’d be charged $120 for carpet cleaning because it was “required by the lease.” I double-checked — nowhere does it say that. But honestly, after everything, I let it go to save the headache. The move-out checklist included gems like “speck of dust in the entryway” (after the unit sat empty two weeks while they “realized” my lease had ended). I even had cleaners come back to reclean, in the 24 hour reclean period required by state law. Still, it took 34 days (beyond the legal limit) to receive my deposit — with the late rent charge still deducted. Multiple calls and emails went unanswered until I finally messaged their parent company on Instagram, which magically got a response. Another apology, another excuse, and an offer for a “gift card” (no, thank you). By the time I finally received the rest of my funds — minus the bogus carpet fee — it was October 28th, nearly three months after moving out. All in all: between poor move-in conditions, lack of maintenance, illegal handling of deposits, and nonexistent communication, this was by far the most unprofessional property management experience I’ve ever had. I’m so much happier since moving.

Rustic yet elegant! The amenities are truly next level. The pool, hot tub, and outdoor fire pit give resort vibes. The pet spa and coffee bar are just the cherry on top!

Living at Silverbrook Apartments has been such a good experience! The amenities are awesome, and the community has great walking spaces for pets, which my dog and I really appreciate. It’s also nice and quiet most of the time (except on landscaping day, lol) but seriously, it’s been great. Anytime something has come up in my unit, the maintenance team has been super quick to fix it, which makes life so much easier. The whole team here is friendly and welcoming, Tracy and Shawna (the managers) are absolute gems—they really goes above and beyond. Definitely recommend Silverbrook if you’re looking for a comfortable, pet-friendly place to live.
