- JJJadenFeb 19, 20261.0Faulkner Flat is hands down the worst apartment I have ever dealt with. My family signed a lease for the Fall 2025 semester, but due to unforeseen visa issues, we were unable to enter the U.S. While most management companies offer some flexibility or a reasonable buyout option for unavoidable circumstances, Faulkner Flat showed zero empathy. They strictly enforced every single clause to maximize their profit from our misfortune. They forced us to pay rent for 90 days before even allowing a termination, and on top of that, they collected the full termination fee. Ultimately, my family had to pay over 8 months' worth of rent for an apartment we never even stepped foot in. To make matters worse, they even clawed back a "first-month half-off" promotion that was originally given to me as a University of Mississippi staff member. If you terminate early—even for reasons beyond your control—they demand you pay back every cent of any previous discount. This management team does not care about residents or the community; they only care about draining as much money as possible through every available loophole. Save yourself the stress and your money—look elsewhere.
