  I was looking to downsize & came across the Woodlands. I thought, “this is where I want to live”. The staff is over the top! Wanda & Helen are always there to help in situations & Mitch is always available when something needs fixing. The property is stunning, thanks to Austin. I highly recommend the Woodlands if you are looking to downsize from a home to an apartment. Great place to call home.

  I don’t live out here anymore. I moved out due to military orders. There was one day I was at the pool with my nieces, my little cousin, and my boyfriend. My nieces are 6-7 years old, my little cousin is 14 years old, and my boyfriend is 22. My nieces wanted to swim, but there were white people there at the pool soon as we got there, and my nieces got in the water. All of them got out. My little cousin didn’t even have on swimming clothes. She was sitting poolside with me, and my boyfriend was there just to make sure my nieces didn’t drown because I don’t know how to swim. There was a white lady there that had about 6 kids with her, and some white people were having a get-together at the pool. We weren’t there for about 6 minutes, and a courtesy officer ( not your husband ) told me I had to leave. I didn’t do anything wrong. Then Mrs. Wanda told me I had to leave because she doesn’t need any ghetto stuff happening at her pool. Mind you, these are kids swimming. My nieces didn’t mean any harm in any way. To be called ghetto and I wasn’t a loud resident was crazy. Months later, I received military orders to go on deployment, and I informed Mrs. Wanda before I got shipped out. She acknowledged it, but once I was on orders 15 hours away, I received notice that the Woodlands was trying to sue me. I’m not racist. I don’t have problems with anyone at all. I have battle buddies of all sorts, but being called ghetto by a property manager is unprofessional. At the time I was only 21 years old. Fast forward a year later my sister was delivering a Walmart order and she didn’t park in a parking spot because she didn’t want to take anyone’s spot. It was a quick delivery and Mrs. Wanda came out of nowhere telling her she can’t park there and that she was going to call the police. She got my sister tag number and said she’s going to press trespassing charges but that’s my sister job.

  This property deserves less than one star. Reviews appear heavily filtered. Wanda Colvin is consistently unprofessional, unethical, hostile, and dismissive toward tenants and visitors. She often presents herself as above the rules and uses intimidation while portraying herself as the victim. Many people in the community avoid renting here specifically because of her behavior. Do not be misled by surface-level friendliness. You are a property manager not the owner.
