My girlfriend and I lived at 44 West Luxury Living for 14 months, and overall, we had a positive experience. Our building was only finished in 2023, so it was in really excellent condition. We really liked the layout, especially the generous closet space and the extra storage in the bathroom. The kitchen is spacious with modern appliances and an awesome deep sink, though the cabinets are very tall, which made it tricky to reach some things. The lighting was stellar everywhere except the bedroom, which was softer than we would have liked.
Management was responsive throughout our time there, and generally friendly. We did notice a shift in communication style after a new leasing manager came in- emails and messages became more abrupt, less personal, and could come across as a bit rude or careless (poor punctuation). They still responded promptly whenever we had questions or requests. Maintenance was consistently friendly and quick to address any issues, which we really appreciated.
The amenities are solid, though we did run into a few frustrations. Parking was often crowded in the evenings, so we had to park further from our unit and walk. The dog park and pool were great, the package pickup room was very convenient (excluding the obnoxious delivery companies that don't use it), and the gym, while small, was workable. The complex always felt safe and well-lit at night, and we never had any issues with noisy neighbors.
The location is very convenient. Grocery stores and general shopping are about 10 minutes away, and you can get most food you'd want within 15 minutes. Something we should have anticipated was our unit overlooking the highway, which was quite noisy. We got used to it, but after moving out, the difference has been noticeable.
Some of the bigger downsides we dealt with were the highway noise, parking, and low water pressure—you can ask them to turn it up on the shower, but the toilets are stuck on low. Rent is also a bit higher than most nearby options, which does make sense being such a new complex, but pet rent was almost double what we’ve seen elsewhere. Lastly, given the low water pressure, the flat 40 for water/sewer/trash felt a bit unfair. None of these things significantly worsened our experience living there, but they are definitely worth mentioning.
Overall, 44 West Luxury Living is a well-built, modern apartment with a safe, friendly community. If you’re willing to pay a bit extra for a new, spacious unit and quality maintenance, it’s a solid place to call home.
