The gym at this apartment is always insufferably hot because the complex refuses to use the AC and didn't install ceiling fans.

The air conditioner units on the roof of this apartment building are extremely noisy and the sound insulation is very poor. People living on the sixth floor simply can't rest without earplugs every day. It's been a long time since I gave feedback on this issue, but the apartment complex still hasn't addressed it. It's hard to imagine that it's so difficult to fix the equipment or add some soundproofing material under the air conditioner unit on the roof.

I had an extremely negative experience living at this apartment complex. Within a six-month period, my apartment was broken into twice. When I raised security concerns and asked about camera footage, the staff told me that no footage could be retrieved because several cameras were broken, shut off, or damaged. More concerning, multiple unauthorized and unidentified individuals were allowed access directly to my apartment, not just the building. There were also multiple instances where staff entered my apartment without prior notice, announcement, or approval, which was alarming and unacceptable. To make matters worse, my apartment was re-rented before my lease ended, yet I never received a refund. Requests for clarification or resolution were met with little to no meaningful response from management. This was the worst apartment experience I’ve ever had, and I sincerely wish I had never signed the lease. I’m sharing this to make others aware of the serious security and management issues before deciding to live here.

Here's the deal. I just moved into this building almost two-weeks ago. I'm an out-of-town transplant. Fantastic Building Great Amenities VERY Efficient and Helpful Staff (especially Mia, the PM). The Location It is well-located and central to Wash U, the overpriced CWE, and Clayton. That means you are near an INCREDIBLE variety of restaurants and food stores. The Building: The building is great. Some negative reviews note that it was built on the cheap. This is a FALSE statement. It has wide hallways and high ceilings. I lived in a condo that was built cheaply. This is a solid building that feels bright and airy, not just in your unit, but in the common spaces like hallways and foyer (that said, it could use a 3rd elevator). The Move-In Experience: Never had a better move-in experience than here! Remember, I moved here from 600 miles away!!! Yes, there were delays, but Mia was on top of it. I texted her and no matter what time of day or day of the week, she ALWAYS got right back to me with a solid answer and plan of action. It's a secure and modern building that emphasizes wide open spaces. Cost: I created a spreadsheet listing all the apartment buildings I considered. Side-by-side analysis; Chelsea was one of the least expensive units I visited. Mia included an "overall monthly cost including parking, etc." When that was figured in, it was a no-brainer. (I don't get these people who complain about it being too expensive. Then don't move here!). But my cost comparison tells a different story. It ain't cheap, but it's by no means the most expensive. I think it's reasonable for the market rate, with great amenities. Met one of the owners by accident, and he was very kind, very warm, and interested in what I thought of the place. The Amenities: Great amenities. Clean work-out room/gym. Nice little store on the 1st floor, great security. The parking is fantastic. The Neighbors: Everyone is kind and respectful. Very dog-friendly. Thanks, Chelsea, you made a very unnerving experience comfortable and smooth, even when things didn't go as planned. Keep Mia, you can't find people like her in the workforce anymore! Trust me, I know!

Do not book this apartment building if you are using furnished finder (or any other furnished site). The photos are nothing like the unit they actually provide. We are two weeks into our stay and still do not have wifi. They gave us only 2 pieces of cutlery and the minimal possible kitchen ware after promising the unit would be furnished just like their airbnbs. Could not even live in the unit we paid for first week we move. My girlfriend is a nurse helping understaffed hospitals and manager refuses to work with us to make the apartment livable.
