  I had black mold on my apartment for two weeks until they finally came and removed it. Thankfully I was moving out soon but I had to pay for 3 nights of hotels before I moved out because I didn’t feel comfortable staying there inhaling mold. I tried to contact them in person and over the phone and by email but no one was ever there. Called and visited multiple times during business hours. The only communication I received was a reminder my rent was due. Couldn’t bother to deal with a mold infestation. The place overall is in poor condition and constantly smells horrible. Would not live here.

  Someone in the building has my cell phone. I dropped it in the snow on a walk Monday and I would like to have it returned please.

  I can honestly tell you that the community manager they have at this time, Teddi, is what makes this place SO special!!! It’s a very cool location and has quite a bit to offer… check it out if you are looking for a place to call “home”!

  I lived there for 10 months and I loved it. I had zero problems with my unit. The rent is more than affordable for a studio apartment and the management team was superb. Convent Gardens is just a 4-minute drive from Wash U medical campus/BJC. My only complaints are that the elevators broke down a couple of times and took several days to fix. This was inconvenient for me as I lived on the 7th floor. However, apart from this issue, I had a wonderful experience. There is a free coffee machine in the lounge, a mini-gym in the basement, and gated/street parking. I have had zero problems with receiving packages/deliveries to my apartment. During my stay, there was one robbery where the culprit took the TVs in the basement and other packages. This is not a flaw in the apartment, but rather a poor judgment call of a single tenant. I would caution tenants to be more aware of which guests they invite to their units. Overall, I give the highest recommendation to Convent Gardens and would absolutely live there again if I return to St. Louis. This place is a gem for medical students/personnel looking for a residence close to Wash U.
