  Recently, there were break-ins affecting multiple cars (around 7–8) parked outside this apartment complex. While I understand that unfortunate things can happen anywhere, it’s disappointing that no communication or visible action has followed. No emails or notices were sent to residents to acknowledge the situation or provide guidance, which feels unfair—especially for those of us who rely on street parking because garage parking comes at an additional cost on top of already high rent. There are signs and cameras posted stating that the property is being monitored, but when incidents like this occur, it doesn’t feel like those measures are actually being enforced or used to prevent future issues. I’m not expecting perfection, but I do expect transparency and some reassurance that management is taking steps to address safety concerns and prevent this from happening again. Communication and proactive action would go a long way.

  The Edwin on Grand – Real Talk, This Place Feels Like Home I don’t usually write reviews but I had to take a second to speak on this one. I toured 8 different apartments before finding The Edwin on Grand and to be honest, I was starting to lose hope. Either the vibe was off, the space didn’t feel right, or the people weren’t welcoming. But the second I stepped into this place, something just felt different. It felt right. It felt like home. I’ve been living here for 3 weeks now and every day I wake up feeling grateful I trusted that feeling. The apartment itself is beautiful. The ceilings are high, the space is wide open, and the grey cabinets with the modern appliances really make it feel clean and fresh. You can tell it was put together with care. It’s right by a busy street but weirdly, that’s part of the charm. The noise isn’t a bother, if anything it feels alive, like the city’s heartbeat is right outside your window but you still get your peace and quiet inside. And the location? Crazy convenient. There’s a bunch of food spots nearby, it’s on top of a Target that has a Starbucks in it, which was a big plus for me. Props to whoever designed this building because they really thought it through. Topgolf is in walking distance and you can even see the Arch from our balcony. That view never gets old. But what really made this place stand out was the people. Zoe, the assistant manager, gave me the tour and she was nothing but kind, patient, and super helpful. She answered all my questions, showed real professionalism, and just made me feel comfortable. And Stephanie, the manager, from the first conversation had this warm, welcoming energy that made me feel seen. I was nervous about whether I’d get approved or not, but they both walked me through everything step by step, kept me in the loop, and never made me feel like a bother. As a Black man, finding a space where I feel respected and truly welcomed means a lot to me. And that’s exactly what I felt here. They treated me with care and genuine kindness and that stuck with me. If you’re looking for a spot in STL where you’re not just another tenant, where you’re actually treated like a person and can truly feel at home, I highly recommend The Edwin on Grand.   Absolutely in love with living at The Edwin!! I love the layout of my unit and I will never get tired of these views!!!! Also, you just cannot beat the convenience of living on top of a Target. The whole process of touring, applying, moving in, etc. was completely painless thanks to the Community Manager, Zoe. She was attentive, informative, and so welcoming! I’ve had maintenance come a few times to fix things I broke and they showed up within 24 hours of me submitting a ticket, they were efficient and effective with their work, and were so nice! I genuinely don’t think I have one bad thing to say about The Edwin.
