Worst auction service. Took my things to their facility supposed to be no charge then hands me a bill. Sells twelve thousand dollars worth of antiques and I received zero, nothing. They kept all the money. They left many of my things out in the rain and many things came up missing. People were stealing things right off the tables. They sold authentic lace and silk from the persia for $1 in my plastic totes which cost $9 a piece. Sold first edition books to their own staff for dollar A baby grand piano for ten dollars my pallet jack disappeared and they sold rare antiques coal burning stove valued at a thousand dollars for ten dollars. I had to buy back many of my own things and they sold everything at ridiculous prices. I tried to talk to them before the sale and was told to stay away or they could sell everything for one dollar. They laughed in my face. Worst people to deal with..STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! I received no money for thousands and thousands of dollars worth of things.

We have attended multiple auctions held by the Stevens Auction company. They have been professional in their conduct, clear in their pricing, and effective in their sales. There have been some auctions we attended that had less than quality merchandise available, but Stevens Auction made a valiant effort to sale to the available buyers. We will continue to patronize auctions held by Stevens Auction company, and look forward to many future purchases.

Horrible. If you have anything of real value do not let him sell it for you. He will low ball every item that is worth good money. He was done with our auction in 2 hours when he clearly had it advertised 10-4. He left us with a huge mess to clean up, angry buyers that were fighting over who bought what when we clearly had no idea who bought what. People walking through our house taking items he claimed were not sold. Whoever purchased the vehicle was allowed to take off with the car with registered plates still on the car. Charged $1,000 for advertising that he claimed would be on 3 to 4 web sites , the newspaper and Facebook. Facebook does not charge for that, I saw 2 websites and never saw it in the newspaper and when I asked him to show me the ad in the paper, I was ignored. I trusted him to do right by my family, he did the complete opposite. I had another auctioneer wanting the job with 30 years experience. I chose Stevens Auctions because they showed more interest in the valuable, expensive antiques and the extensive amount of unique items that were in this auction using phrases "oh this is nice this will do well"...I can't tell you how many things were literally bought for nothing. Who sells a wicker day bed, with a mattress and comforter and pillows for $5.00? Sterling Silver pieces for $10.00 a box? Since when did silver decrease that badly? The person that bought this told my family it was sad because he would turn around and sell it in his store for $200.00. Keep your gold and your silver as he has a buyer that shows up 2 hours early just to look at the gold and silver and gets it at rock bottom prices. I had to buy back a watch that appraised at $1,400 that he started the bid out at $200.00. The list goes on. He sold a brand new memory foam mattress that was $800.00 that had been slept in twice. He rock bottomed that as well selling the entire bed, mattress, custom made bedding for $50.00. Buying back certain items was the only way to save ourselves from losing everything of value. When we realized what he was up to we put a do not sell sign on the grandfather clock or that would have been gone at some ridiculous price as well. My hope is that enough people see this that he will never be able to blind side another family dealing with a sick and elderly parent . Nearly two weeks later, we still do not have our funds from him. He is dishonest and a crook. Heads up on this service. I wish I had seen a review on this business prior to auction.

Frequently Asked Questions About Stevens Auction Service LLC

Why use the auction method to sell Real Estate?

Timeliness – Average property is sold within a 4–6-week time frame and closes in 30 days or less. Ease – No contingencies are allowed. Property is sold ‘As Is’ with no repairs needed. Fewer Fall-Through’s – Buyers come prepared to buy with cash or financing in place; must put down a substantial, non- refundable earnest money deposit or 10% of purchase price if winning bidder. As a result, fewer deals fall apart with the auction method.

How does A Real Estate Auction Work?

We generally require 4 – 6 weeks to prepare for an auction, so a date will be selected 4 – 6 weeks prior to your auction. After potential sellers contact Laredo, he will arrange to meet at the property to view it and discuss your particular situation. An “auction contract” is signed by sellers to enter into an agreement to auction your property. Stevens Auction Service will gather and obtain information to properly market and advertise the property. Laredo and his crew do extensive print advertising and have a strong web presence to market properties including our company’s website, other auction websites, Facebook, and more. The auctioneer’s commission is charged to the seller. Stevens Auction Service does not charge buyers premiums. An open house will be held approximately one week prior to your auction date.
