- SSSunniva SteinJul 7, 20251.0My roommate and I would give this place a five star cause we really do love the area, our apartment and the amenities. And the staff is very sweet. But unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like anybody knows how to help when a problem occurs in the payment portal. My roommate and I were notified of a late fee and the amount that we supposedly did not pay. It took almost a month to figure out that they had been overcharging us for an extra parking spot. Which their accounting team actually ended up being wrong and I was the one to notice the over charges from MPP. One of the girls in the office agreed and took screenshots and this is AFTER all this was sent to the accountant team they use. I was told those screenshots showing Mears Park Place over charging us would be sent back to the accounting team and resolved. But unfortunately, nothing has been solved. And now they have just sent an EVECTION letter because we aren’t paying the amount they OVER CHARGED US FOR. We have not received any phone calls or updates.

We got a great tour and it was awesome to have a tour guide who shared our enthusiasm for what we were seeing. We can’t thank this team enough!! 8/30/23: Editing to say that Mears is an amazing community- the leasing office puts together an average of one community event per month, advertises events going on nearby, and sometimes gives out tickets to events nearby! My favorite gathering at Mears was a summer bash with games, walking tacos, ice cream, and lots of residents! They are also open to new ideas on how to build community, which I really appreciate! I am going to be breaking my lease due to personal things, but the leasing office has been kind, respectful, responsive, transparent, and generally amazing and supportive about the process. I hate to be leaving the community they’ve cultivated, but it’s something I need to do for my own sake (nothing at all because of Mears).
