This building loves to brand itself as a luxury apartment complex, but it doesn’t take long after moving in to realize how cheap everything actually is. The finishes, appliances, construction- all bottom of the barrel, hidden behind “modern” design that falls apart fast.
Our dryer never worked properly the entire TWO YEARS we lived there. It regularly took 3–4 cycles to dry even a basic load of clothes, making laundry a multi-day ordeal. We submitted multiple maintenance requests, and each time they’d just clean the lint trap and tell us it was fixed. After the third round of nothing, we gave up and just suffered through it.
The walls are paper thin. You’ll hear your neighbors’ every step, cough, and conversation.
The showers are tiny, so if you’re tall or broad, good luck.
Nobody returns the grocery carts to the garage, and management couldn’t care less.
What management does care about, however, is busting into your apartment unannounced for bogus “inspections” every couple of months. These “appointments” were constant, intrusive, and rarely even honored at the scheduled time. One “inspection” was never completed when it was supposed to be. We assumed it had happened, only to be blindsided with a reschedule MONTHS later. Same thing happened with showings of our unit: we’d be told someone was coming, and then… no one. Zero communication. Just another day of being inconvenienced for nothing.
Contacting the office? Good. Freaking. Luck.
Emails go unanswered.
Phone calls are ignored, even during office hours.
Voicemails? Never returned.
And don’t expect even basic human decency if you visit the office in person. One time, my roommate went down (per THEIR request) to pick up a new building key. She walked in, was stared at, then straight-up ignored until she spoke, at which point she was met with massive attitude, as if she’d committed a crime by daring to interrupt the staff’s all-important chit-chat.
Maintenance is no better. Not only do they leave messes behind (I once came home after work to a huge pile of sawdust left on the floor), they’ll enter parts of your unit that have nothing to do with the work order. No explanation, no reason. It’s a complete invasion of space.
Also, fun fact: There’s a visible 1-inch gap between the floor and the bottom of the front door. That means drafts, noise, light, and zero insulation, so get yourself a draft blocker unless you want to freeze and be woken up every time your neighbor walks past.
Oh, and the pool? Don’t bother. It’s in the worst location imaginable, tucked away next to a nature reserve, meaning it’s constantly full of floating fuzzies from nearby trees and you’ll never get sun. Ask about it and they’ll tell you they can’t cut back the trees due to the reserve. Great planning, guys.
In short: this place markets itself as upscale living but functions like a sloppy, overpriced dorm with intrusive management and zero accountability. I can’t believe we stayed as long as we did. If you value your time, privacy, or peace of mind, look elsewhere. Actually, avoid any Bigos property for that matter. Absolutely shameful.
