OLD, TOO EXPENSIVE, ONE LAUNDRY WASHER/DRYER PER BUILDING/SUBPAR SECURITY AT APARTMENT ENTRANCES
I toured Era on Excelsior and chose not to apply....
The main office is beautiful and upgraded, friendly and knowledgeable staff, but in my opinion the rent prices are too high (even low income rental options) considering how outdated and ran down the apartments are. The main clubhouse and leasing office are very modern and the amenities are great: secure mail/package delivery system, big outdoor pool, movie theatre, retro games, lounge spaces, gym with equipment, study spaces. There are both off street and garage parking, and visitor parking available. Great location and beautiful trails/nature nearby.
Overview: Clean but obvious wear and tear, "lived in", closets and windows hard to open, thin walls, bathroom verrry old and tiny with virtually no counter space, extra storage space and shared laundry in basement: one washer, one dryer). If rent included all utilities, laundry costs, parking, wifi, etc then the price would be worth it. I had some safety concerns because the apartment entrances are regular keys. One AC unit-not central air: I was worried that it would get too hot in the bedroom (AC unit in main living area). There are other options nearby with washer/dryer in unit, upgraded appliances, and more safety features.
