    I placed an application with tech park 2, I was not able to pay my $100 holding fee via rent cafe because of a network error. Although I was able to pay my $41 application fee and that went through successfully. I told them about this immediately and they said I could bring in a cashiers check (which I did). About a week & a half goes by. And my application gets denied and it says failure to pay $100 holding fee and that I didn’t respond to their emails. When I was speaking with the leasing agent almost everyday. So I go to the office because nobody was answering the phone. and I spoke with the property manager and she explains that she didn’t know about my cashiers check that was left in her office and that someone forgot to upload it with my application. And that the error was completely on them, and she said she would allow me to re apply.. and as I filled out a second application in her office, the time came to pay the fees again. And I asked her if she was going to waive the application fee since I already paid one. She said no and that I would have to pay it again. And so I asked her what was the reason my application got denied so that we didn’t make the same mistake again and she told me she doesn’t know and there’s nothing she can do about it. We ended up in a heated argument after I asked a simple question about my application. I only wanted clarification on what exactly went wrong so I could avoid the issue again and not waiste money on another $41 on an application fee, especially since she mentioned I could reapply because my holding fee was never uploaded with my application. I explained to her that this was not an error on my part and that I didn’t feel I should be required to pay an additional application fee for something I didn’t cause. Instead of trying to resolve the situation or even acknowledge the concern, she told me “it is what it is” and that I could either pay another fee or “go live somewhere else.” To be spoken to like that by a property manager is extremely unprofessional and honestly made me consider whether this is a community I’d feel comfortable living in. I don’t believe any resident should be addressed in that manner, and I wanted to bring this to your attention directly. At this point, I don’t feel confident moving forward with this property after the way I was spoken to by the property manager.

    Pros: In unit washer/dryer Keyless entry Cons: Near the end of September 2021 there was a fire in an adjacent apartment to mine. My entry way sprinkler went off and later that week management notified me that my apartment would need to be inspected for water damage. I came home on October 29th to my kitchen and most of my bathroom floors being removed without any notification to me, my cat was traumatized, and dust was coating my entire apartment. I resigned my lease with the assumption that my floors would be reinstalled in a timely manner, but nearly 6 months later when I vacated there were still no floors in my apartment or the hallway. I asked for a rent reduction due to the inconvenience, but instead, they raised my rent. Several months later in January 2022 my downstairs neighbor became convinced that I was his ex girlfriend. He attempted to break into my apartment several times and would wait outside my apartment door when I was at work. Police identified the man and I was told over the phone by management that they had dealt with him before. However, the day after his final break in attempt when I called management to see if there were any break in attempts that I hadn’t witnessed, I was told that events I hadn’t witnessed were confidential and they could only confirm via security footage what I had experienced. Management claimed that his stalking was “out of character for him” despite what they had told me the previous night. I was also told he would not be evicted, even after I had filed a restraining order against him. On my move in day I was given the code and apartment number to someone else’s apartment and was forced to move in the following day. The apartments themselves are rather cheaply made. The dishwasher barely functioned and I usually had to rewash dishes, my towel hook fell off the wall, when I moved in the drains were clogged, etc. I would recommend moving literally anywhere else.

    Love living here! They have extremely nice apartments, a safe and positive community, and excellent management! Jacquelyn is always in the office when I have a question, as the office hours are really convenient.
