So much noise. Terrible management. Broken amenities. Serious security and safety issues. If you look at my past reviews of things, you'll see that I write good reviews. If I'm taking the time to write a negative review, it must be serious.... I felt the need to provide my honest feedback of this apartment complex and property management company. 1. Excessive noise I moved into a corner unit on the first floor 2 years ago. After I moved in, the building installed a dog park, directly outside my unit. My living room and kitchen windows are about 10 feet from the dog park fence. I have a dog and love dogs but they bark outside my unit all day and all night. The see-through fence causes dogs to react and bark at dogs on the other side of the fence and this happens constantly. The units are poorly insulated so it sounds like there's a pack of dogs inside my apartment all day and night. I bought white noise machines so I can sleep but I work from home so the noise makes it nearly impossible to concentrate. People have moved from the dog park side of the building (even those that were on upper floors) to the other side or out of the building completely. So, if you tour, make a note as to how close to the dog park your unit is located. Prior to the installation of the disruptive dog park, I had a neighbor who had two children and allowed them to run up and down the halls screaming and yelling at late hours of the night (I'm talking midnight, 1am, 2am). I filed complaints with the leasing office and they did not resolve the issue. 2. Safety and Security Issues. The neighbor across the hallway from me was friends with drug dealers and drug deals were happening 20 feet from my apartment on a regular basis. For a while, she was not even home and her degenerate friends used her place as a drug den. These friends also carried firearms and were pointing guns at each other while inside her unit on at least one occasion. I notified the leasing office numerous times that I was concerned for my own safety and they failed to resolve any of my concerns in a timely manner. Rather than doing anything to remove her, they waited 8+ months until her lease expired and chose not renew the tenant's lease. I was concerned for my safety during that entire period but was unable to terminate my lease due to other personal circumstances. Further, regarding security, my car was broken into in the parking lot. There have been thefts from our "secure" parking garage. Several other tenant's vehicles have been broken into. 3. The amenities would be good if they worked. Additionally, while the complex has nice amenities, they are often broken (the firepit has not worked in a year, the hot tub has been a luke warm tub with no jets since I moved in over 2 years ago, etc.) 4. Parking is expensive and limited. Garage parking was $95 and the property management company just raised it to $125. Unfortunately it's kind of a necessity as there is very limited street parking and the resident surface lot is relatively small and people constantly illegally park in the lot (friends of residents, people from other buildings, etc.). Furthermore, as previously mentioned, cars are frequently broken into in the surface lot. The garage is not that secure either (as numerous thefts have occurred in my two years here) but it's a little better than the surface lot. So, my experience here has been frustrating and, at times, scary. Edit- reply to owner response: I have tried to work with the office and they have been uncooperative and unreasonable. Further, in the middle of working through issues and exchanging emails, the property manager went out of the office for 2 weeks without letting me know and without referring me to someone else to continue working through the issues. So, we can add "rude and unprofessional" to the list of issues. Now I have to wait 2 more weeks while I've been dealing with noise directly outside my window for 16 hours a day and prior to that, illegal activity occurring across the hall from me for nearly a year.

I've lived in many different apartments and I can honestly say that this is by far my favorite one I've lived in. The apartment is located in the greatest spot - it sits right on the green way and it's about a 3-4 minute walk to Calhoun which I love. You can also walk to Lake of the Isles pretty quickly which is another huge plus. The apartment in general is always kept very clean and I love the pool area as well as the gym. They have a bunch of different machines in the gym which I really appreciate. They always have free Starbucks coffee down in the lobby and sometimes they even leave cookies out! The staff here is absolutely wonderful, Charlene and Deetri (not sure if I spelled that right) are so nice and are always there to answer your questions. I think the only thing they could do to make this apartment even better would be to have a closed off area where dogs could play. They have more than enough space for it, so hopefully they do it sometime in the future! Other than that, this apartment is wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone. My boyfriend and I have truly enjoyed our time here.
