After leaving Axon Green for good, I can finally write a review. As others have said, STAY AWAY. As far away from this place as you can. It all seems nice and great in the beginning, with friendly stuff, excellent amenities, and a nice community.
As soon as I got to the unit things started to pop up. To start with, it clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while, with stains everywhere, years worth of dust in fixtures and mirrors, etc. So I ended up having to clean the whole place.
They had promised a new vinyl floor, but that kept peeling off so they ended up gluing it with extra glue that seeped out. They spread that all over the floor, so there was a thin gluey film all over the living room. While they were doing that, they also mentioned that the very strong smell of the apartment was because of the floor glue.
Turns out, it was something way worse.
To cut a very long story short (multiple months of back and forth and begging for fixes), the apartment kept having a very strong rotting smell for months, so at some point I realized it can't be the "new floor smell". I pinged maintenance multiple times, for what it's worth, the maintenance crew tried their best to work on this (although they are extremely overworked and spread thin, so they can't do much at the end of the day).
That's where Erwin, the building manager came in. Only to say he didn't smell anything and "that's just old building smell". And "all my units smell like that". His whole approached seemed to be that, since this is proving to be a big and costly issue, he tried to deny its very existence in order to avoid the costly fixes.
Well, what he didn't count on is that I had already 5 witnesses who had come to smell it and could testify to the very pungent, rotting smell.
In fact, as part of the maintenance crew's efforts, they'd opened a hole in my walk in closet and after that, it was obvious the smell was coming from that hole, it was extremely strong at times, and the closet was impossible to be in.
When I brought my friends, one of them sniffed closely at the hole, she fell dizzy, and sat/fell down on the floor to avoid blacking out.
This is insane in the first place, but that's when she saw it! From the floor, it was visible that there was black mold in the walls, specifically around the pipes.
That day, I was notified by my neighbor that he also had mold in his bathroom and had complained about it to the office but they did nothing. He also informed me that my other neighbor, who shares the same wall as my closet, had black mold on that wall a couple years ago! So, management knew that there used to be black mold on that wall, and instead of trying to fix it, they tried to gaslight me and tell me nothing's wrong.
I also learned that there was a whole rat or mouse infestation in the other building, that they were doing nothing about. You can read about it on other reviews.
In the end, I called the city inspector, who cited them on multiple code violations, and I moved out immediately in order to safeguard my health and avoid retaliation, since it was made clear to me that they were gonna make my life as hard as legally possible.
So TLDR, stay as far, far away from that building.
And management, we all know you're gonna write a whole "please call us to discuss any issues and fix them" comment as a response. You had 6 months to fix it and dozens of opportunities to remediate this. Instead, you chose indifference, apathy, avoidance, rudeness, and when that didn't work, gaslighting. The fact I had to call the city inspector to force your hand speaks volumes about how much "you care". No matter what you respond with, you're not fooling anyone who reads this.

I just moved in here three weeks ago and it has been an experience. All the amenities, garage and safety are great. Excellent area and kind staff. HOWEVER; when I moved in, the apartment was dirty. The drawers and closets were filled with trash. There have been FIVE separate issues in my bathroom meanwhile I've lived here for less than a month. It has made my moving process really stressful. First of all, the bathroom door doesn't even close, they ordered me a new one but it's extremely inconvenient to go weeks without one. In addition, from the moment I moved in, my shower had a leak at the base. It wasn't fixed for several days and I had to shower at my boyfriend's. Then as if on cue, the toilet stops working. This also took days to be fixed, forcing me to go to the pool restroom every time I needed to relieve myself. There is also a recent issue with the toilet bowl as well as a clogged sink. It is extremely clear that there was ZERO preventative maintenance or cleaning before I moved in, which makes me feel gross and concerned for others. Excellent amenities but horrible move-in process. I wish they would at least look at the apartment before a new tenant moves in, it seems there wasn't even a glance. They even sent in a cleaning crew after my complaint and they did NOTHING. There are still weird spots on my counter. I hope this message encourages the staff to do a better job before tenants move in, because this causes an extreme strain, as if the moving process isn't stressful enough. Or at least compensate me somehow for all of the stress the building has put me through. Claudia has been kind and so has maintenance, but that doesn't make up for the irresponsibility the building has shown. UPDATE: just got a call from the management office, they really are so kind and apologetic. after this, i really don’t think it’ll happen again to another person.
