Apartment Building
The Commons of Inver Grove is located directly across the street from Inver Hills Community College and offers a unique housing option for full or part-time college students and non-students. A select number of our 2, 3, and 4 bedroom apartments are leased by the bedroom. This option allows college students a private bedroom with your own lease (only you are on your lease). Students share the common area living room, kitchen and bathrooms all of which have been recently remodeled with granite counter tops, wood-look flooring and cherry cabinetry. We also offer traditional one, two, and two+den apartments with the same upgraded finishes.
Located in Inver Grove Heights, with easy access to Highway 55 and US-52, The Commons of Inver Grove is just minutes away from Inver Hills Community College, as well as all of the shopping, dining, and entertainment that nearby St. Paul has to offer. - BBBilly BobOct 24, 20181.0Random power outages, NO ONE has working fans in the whole 8209 building which is a absolutely disgusting. You can't even open the windows in place of the broken fans because the screens are so awful and insects will fly in. They have been "working on the fans" for YEARS now. Common solutions cited from the landlady include "leaving your door open while showering" and "spraying the mold with bleach". Broken washing machine in the same building for a few months now, can't wait to see that follow the same pattern of never being fixed.
- KPKali PennyNov 22, 20161.0I moved into the student housing apartments at Granite Bluffs. When I first moved in the entire apartment smelled like cat pee. I had moved in while 3 other girls already lived there. Which was fine except for the fact that the main room of the apartment hadn't been cleaned in years. In the student housing, they never really clean the entire apartment because there is always someone living there. There was cat liter plastered on the walls and boxes full of old rotting food in the living room. My carpeting had a huge purple stain on the rug. The bathroom's venting system was broken causing black mold to grow on the ceiling. When I was first shown an apartment I was told that there would be a survey to best match roommates. That never happened. On their website they say that they request transcrips to make sure that only students were moving in with students. That also never happened. This caused the biggest problem of all being safety. Someone was literally stabbed with a broken glass bottle outside of my apartment door a few months after I moved in. I was the one who had to call the cops. Out of the 4 roomates that I lived with, only 2 went to school. The others were just trying to find a cheep place to live. One girl was even an addict and slowely started moving her friends into the apartment, rent free. This caused my apartment to become a huge hangout for junkies. She had attacked me when I accused them of stealing. A lot of my belongings went missing. The cops escorted her out and she was kicked out of the apartment. The security doors were always broken and this caused me to be afraid of living there. It may seem cheap and the wood floors and granite counters may look nice, but it's not worth your safety.
