  Where do I start?! Kelsey Kaplan has been more than helpful! I literally was talking her ears off as well as sending several emails with lots of questions. Kelsey never got frustrated with me and always took her time to answer all my questions. I was able to come in same day with very short notice to tour. I will say I was so undecisive on which floor plan to go with and she was so understanding and patient with me. Very great customer service and communication skills to say the least! Very excited to move in! Please give Kelsey a raise and or a promotion or a well deserved vacation(paid) she definitely deserves it! Thanks again for all your help!💜

  Cedars didn't have a reason for ending my lease which is a red flag others also noted. Started out great but its charm fades as you realize it isn't as promised. Even the namesake plants are dying. Smokers were a consistent problem indoors and outdoors so "smoke-free" living is not accurate- even staff smoked onsite. Outdated building means appliances, like your dishwasher or W/D don't work reliably- and maintenance and staff won't be honest with you on the larger problems but will put blame on you. The indoor pool had signs promoting a remodel, and they disappeared without any updates; I eventually stopped using the hot tub because it was questionable for health and the walkways are a slipping hazard. Pest control problems meant packing and cleaning during the holidays and not being able to bake or entertain. The utilities are based on community usage instead of personal use; if you travel, share custody, work outside the home, live mindfully of heat/AC usage through all the weather change, etc...your utilities will be higher than other places. I lived in two different apartments while at Cedars for three years. My move-out fees to downsize were ridiculous, including charges for new carpet in rooms I didn't use. If you are looking for peace, nature and updated amenities, go elsewhere…multiple construction projects in Southdale Edina (Macy's, Library, apartments, etc) are bringing in noise, poor air quality, bad traffic, etc. Violence in the area has increased and safety on site is a problem. I wouldn't recommend at all.

  Literally one of THE BEST places I have ever lived. Longtime resident and I have lived in several of the apartments in within the community. The office staff is simple the best and will bend over backward to accommodate a resident. It feels like family!! Not to mention the incredible grounds which are maintained flawlessly by a competent and superiorly friendly group of people. It's always gorgeous and always growing lush and beautifully whenever possible. In the winter, every inch of snow is plowed and sidewalks made safe for walking in the wee hours of the morning. If I ever need to put a work order in for ANYTHING in my apt the staff responds within a day (often times the same afternoon). It's an amazing home for me and my family and my sweet dog Lilly. Thank you Cedars for always being the community of friends and family I need. Make an appointment today if you're at all interested.
