  I would not recommend Somerset Park Apartments unless there are no other options and you would like to contact maintenance weekly. First, my encounter with the leasing office was great, I connected with Amber right away. She helped me thoroughly with all the questions I needed. Apartment hunting can be stressful, but Amber made the experience very easy and transparent at first. We signed the lease and picked up our keys, she assured that if we ever needed anything, we could contact her, but when I emailed her later on, she did not respond. Right away, as I entered my unit on 10/7, the faucet to my tub is leaking. This was already after hours so they could not come right away, maintenance did not come to resolve the issue until three days later, 10/10. I called constantly from 10/7-10/10, stating that I am not living there yet and just moving in. I am not using my water, but due to the leaking it would affect my water bill at the end of the month and they did not offer to compensate when the unit should have been READY to move in. Additionally, the screen of my bedroom windows were not secured and I had mentioned this to Amber when we toured the unit. The windowsill to my bedroom window was also not secured. Maintenance came to caulk it and did not even do the bare minimum to run the caulk with his finger. My fire alarms were not working, safety hazard. The kitchen sink faucet was also leaking at the neck when turned off. The vinyl is lifting and has bubbles. The carpet they claim to wash is filthy, I shampooed it three times and was still dirty. They do not replace the microwave filter for the exhaust and reuses it from the last tenant. It is $12 on Amazon! The basement is filthy with dead bees - this is still there since I toured and now it has been three months. It has been close to three months now, the shower rod has fallen and the stove stopped working. I cook daily and now it is costing me more to order out because I cannot cook. The bathroom sink has clogged and I have used a plastic snake to see if it was my hair and it came out clean. It is really not fun contacting them so I would rather figure it out on my own, but it just comes down to the poor maintenance of the building. The closet framing in one of the bedroom is falling apart. The knob of a bathroom drawer is not screwing on properly and the backsplash in the kitchen is separating from the wall. A blind has fallen off and they are charging me an additional $5. Overall, it is evident that Somerset Park's maintenance is negligent and is not thorough. Maintenance is an important part of an apartment business. I have asked if they are understaffed and they stated that they are not so I am not sure what the issue is. Maintenance would rather come in and perform a quick job than to do a good job and to make the units more appealing and increase its value. The units are already old and run down, the least can be done is to perform quality work when things needs to be repaired. I am not looking forward to having to find new problems every week and contacting them until my lease ends. I have overpaid for my water bill due to their negligence and have been so frustrated already. With all these inconveniences and frustrations, they could at least pay for the $5 blind. It is now beyond frustration and hysteria.

  Zack was the person who took care of the maintenance. The kitchen faucet got clogged following a repair work done by the Water department, Troy. Zack did an awesome job in getting it sorted out. thank you so much!

  I thought the apartment was very nice, and it had 2 bedrooms, a washer/dryer and dishwasher. It's what I wanted a big plus is that it takes section 8 housing vouchers.

  The Somerset Park maintenance is always fast to solve our issues. They are careful and honest.
