After living at Heron Springs for five years, I wanted to offer a helpful review for both staff and prospective residents. Overall, I’d rate Heron Springs a 7/10. It’s a very quiet community, largely geared toward empty nesters looking to downsize, and that intent is reflected throughout the property. The location is strong—easy interstate access and only a few minutes from being “home”—though Silverbell traffic can be busy, so attentiveness is needed when pulling out. Unit quality was generally good. I rented an end unit (at an additional monthly cost) and would recommend it, as having only one shared wall made it quite peaceful. That said, the buildings are not designed with strong sound mitigation, and the garage-under-unit layout comes with noise trade-offs from neighboring garage doors—something to consider if you keep nontraditional hours. The unit design works overall but includes quirks, such as limited storage in the master bathroom, which felt like a missed usability detail. Maintenance was consistently solid. While there was some turnover, Travis in particular was always kind, responsive, and willing to go out of his way to resolve issues. The community itself is calm and well maintained, but younger renters or those seeking a more active, modern, or amenity-rich lifestyle may find it dated. The pool is nice, but other amenities (including the gym) are modest. Sidewalks are great for walking, though the area is not bike-friendly due to traffic. Parking was the weakest aspect of my experience (1/10). As an end unit on Kingfisher Ln, limited turnaround space and inconsistent snow removal meant being blocked in multiple times during winter. This felt like a solvable design and planning issue but remained a recurring frustration. Value shifted over time. Initial pricing felt competitive, but annual rent increases eventually made the property less compelling compared to newer options nearby offering better efficiency and amenities. Move-in and move-out were seamless, and Moceri staff was generally kind and reasonable. Overall, I enjoyed my time at Heron Springs, but some shortcomings point to opportunities for more intentional design and modernization around how residents actually live and use the space.

Amazing experience getting our apartment here. Always ask for Krissy -- the other staff is amazing too, but Krissy is just next level. She really made us feel comfortable and answer all our questions about getting an apartment in Heron Springs. So far the apartment is great; it has only been 1 week, but we love it here so far.

I moved in early this summer and was not disappointed. Apartment was in near perfect shape. All finishes are very high end. No noise through walls. Worth every penny. Would highly recommend!!
