I completely agree with the last reviewer. This used to be a great community, but the way management currently operates is making us consider moving.
Under the new rules, management is incredibly restrictive—they won’t even allow windchimes, decorative lights, or an American flag. It feels like these new policies are just a distraction from their incompetent response to the recent shooting at Central Park Estate Apartments.
Even though the shooting happened right in front of the clubhouse, management failed to communicate with residents immediately or take any steps to reassure us of our safety.
This situation really proves how much of a difference good management makes.

If you hate individuality, find flowers hideous, holiday decorations loathsome, and American flags offensive, Central Park Estates is the place for you! Now that all outdoor decorations have been banned, we’ve become the most joyless neighborhood in Novi! You won’t be distracted by horrible welcome signs or wreaths on your neighbors’ doors. You won’t have to concern yourself with planters filled with flowers. And, your eyes will never be offended by holiday lights or decorations once you move to CPE. Here, it’s nothing but conformity and neutral tones as far as the eye can see. And, if you accidentally bring any contraband wind spinners, flags, or other items on the property, they’ll send letters threatening to enter your home and forcibly remove the offending items - so convenient! The only thing that could make this place better is if they provided matching uniforms for all the residents. Also, please bring back the neighborhood newsletter so that we all know how to speak, think, and behave in order to keep things truly ‘uniform’ around here.
We’ve lived here happily for more than 10 years. The past several years with new management's arbitrary rules (and the recent shooting!) have made us anxious to move elsewhere.
The leasing office and maintenance staff are great. However, the community’s noise control is extremely poor. Since moving here, I have not been able to enjoy a quiet or relaxing evening or weekend due to constant noise from neighbors and a rooster nearby.
As unusual as it may sound, one of my neighbors keeps a rooster in their backyard. It begins crowing very early every morning and continues throughout the day. The noise is loud, persistent, and extremely disruptive.
The kids next to our unit constantly bang on the wall and scream until midnight without any parental supervision. We have reported this to the management office multiple times, but there has been no improvement.
This ongoing disturbance has made it very difficult to enjoy peaceful time or relax at home.

I am deeply concerned about the shooting that occurred today, Wednesday 2/25, at Central Park Estates. As a resident, it is honestly shocking that we were not informed through an official email or community communication and instead had to find out through outside sources. Situations like this directly impact our sense of safety, and clear, transparent communication from management is essential.
My intention with this message is not to publicly damage the reputation of the community. I truly value where I live and would prefer to address my concerns in a constructive and respectful way. Since moving here, I have observed several issues related to safety and overall community management that I believe deserve attention.
For that reason, I would sincerely appreciate the opportunity to meet with the owner of the community to share my observations and discuss possible solutions that can help improve security and communication for all residents.
My name is Victoria Rodriguez, and I would be grateful if someone could guide me on how to arrange a meeting with the owner of the community Thank you for your attention to this matter.
He was in and out quickly, and he knew exactly what I needed.
