Living at Lexington Village hasn’t been the best experience. Our neighbors leave their trash in the hall and we’ve been complaining about it to the leasing office for the last two years. The hallways aren’t clean, it smells like trash and animal droppings because the neighbors leave their dogs to their own devices. There’s mold in the entire apartment and the water is hard. My 4-year old daughter and I have had the same cough for months because of the mold. My mother-n-law had an allergic reaction to the animal hair left in the hallway because the halls aren’t cleaned properly. I’ve had to sprinkle carpet freshener and vacuum the hallway because whoever comes on Thursday to vacuum doesn’t do a good job of cleaning. I even had to sanitize the hallways so it wouldn’t leave a file odor. Emailing the leasing office or posting reviews doesn’t help because the issue continues to persists. To the Owner/Property manager who will see this review, I have on record you all do not treat your tenants well when they tell the truth about their lived experiences here at The Lexington Apartments. These living conditions aren’t conducive for anyone. I wouldn’t recommend living here. 0/10.

RUN AWAY! They don’t follow up on MAINTENANCE REQUESTS. The manager Tuesday is RUDE. They tried to take my DEPOSIT by pinning FALSE DAMAGES to my account and sent a balance to COLLECTIONS, when I had only lived there for 3 months. The AC doesn’t work. Before I moved in I saw the bad reviews about maintenance requests being ignored and the company finding every possible way to keep your deposit money. But of course I convinced myself I’d be fine because I was only going to be there for 3 months for work. I started out working with Betsy who I had a great experience with, very friendly and helpful in every way. I’m very type A so I do actually take the time to inspect the place and take pictures and report the things I find broken/worn out on my move in day, which there was. I would say about a month went by before I needed to put in an actual maintenance request. Ignored. Then I called to which I got an attitude but they stated they would put in another request for me. Never came. Throughout my 3 month stay I put in 2 maintenance requests which were never addressed. In those 3 months they also did 2 maintenance inspections, or atleast sent an email saying someone would be stopping by for routine inspections, nobody ever came. Even if they did come I did not appreciate the fact that during these inspections days, a time was never given they just basically said someone would be accessing your apartment at some point with their own key. Fast forward, I’ve moved out. They never sent me a final notice or my deposit. Life got hectic so I forgot to follow up until a couple months later. I follow up and being told I have a negative balance on my account. Next thing I know I get mail FROM COLLECTIONS saying I owe the apartments money. Long story short got ahold of the assistant manager Tuesday. She claimed they sent me an itemized list of damages and used my deposit to cover them but it wasn’t enough so I owed them the rest. I NEVER received anything in the mail till collections. Tuesday continued to talk to me in a condescending way, laughing through our whole conversation, talking over me, and basically telling me I have no right to pursue this. How rude and condescending she was is what fired me up to truly pursue this thing. I called collections and asked for the report they were sent. I look at the report and it’s a ton of listed and pictured damages I could’ve never made in 3 months, broken doors, broken shower, broken blinds, trash everywhere, holes in walls, furniture left behind. I’m type A so I left my apartment clean and put together when I moved out. I had literally scrubbed and swept and vacuumed before I left. When I looked closer at the report I noticed the pictures had a date and time. The dates on those pictures were a month before I even moved into Lexington village. I notified both collections and Tuesday about this who both wanted to play dumb and say they still had to do some investigating. I was even asked to submit pictures of how I left the apartment, which they probably didn’t think I would have but thankfully I did. This began the 3-4 week process of getting snippy responses from Tuesday cause I was pushing for the car to be closed and also being ignored. Finally, after hearing nothing from her for 2 weeks, I receive a voicemail one day where she states my balance has been retracted from collections and I would receive my deposit back. No apology, no explanation. Long story short, it took another 3 weeks to get my deposit, which I had to follow up with multiple times, during those 3 weeks Tuesday tried to play nice, a lot of friendliness and apologies. I’m sorry but you can’t treat people wrong then expect everything to be okay when you realize your wrong and try to play nice. IF YOURE GOING TO LIVE HERE, KEEP ALL RECORDS and TAKE AS MANY PICTURES AND VIDEOS AS YOU CAN!
