Horrible place to live! After a few months, you will see everyone true colors come out. The neighbors, the people in the office and all the shenanigans that come along if you live near the Red Roof. The police is constantly in this area. I'm quite sure Betsy move people in here without thinking, just so she can get her commission. Why would you put people with kids on the second floor to run over your quiet, hard-working tenants head. Then when you have a complaint about noise, they tell you to call the police or try to solve the issue on your own. Furthermore, a 2 bedroom should be meant for no more than 3 people, not 6 to 8 people. Some of your tenants use other people income to get in here because most of them in this building barely or don't work at all. It's ridiculous! How would you like to come live below someone that walk hard, let their child/kids run and play over your head Betsy? Especially, after working 16 hour shifts, are you serious? I'm trying my best to get out of this awful place. Overtime maintenance is slow to respond, nothing is updated until a tenant moves out. Other tenants are territorial over parking spots and throw trash all over the parking lot and in the hallways. Out of the 8 apartments in my building, at least 4 of them smoke cigarettes or marijuana inside the building. I thought Lexington was operating smoke-free? The building I live in always smells like funk, marijuana and seward. The basement backs up with sewerage, the heat goes out in the winter multiple times and the water may be turned off without notice. Don't bother to call the office about these issues, most of the women will have an attitude, especially Courtney. A couple times, I smelled gas in the building and was told that they were aware of the problem. There is no security with the doors as promised. Most of the tenants leave the doors open so anybody could walk in. The people in the office are only concerned with getting your rent payments. The only time they walk the property is when they trying to get a new tenant to move-in. I do appreciate the maintenance for all the hard work that is put on them without proper pay. A lot of the maintenance men have quit because of the workload. Anybody looking to move here, don't be fooled, ask plenty of questions or sign at your own risk!!!

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. Save yourself the stress. We moved in on February 25th and had to break the lease within days because the unit was in unacceptable condition. We were told the apartment was “professionally cleaned” before move-in. That was completely untrue. I had to clean the entire place myself. There were hairs everywhere, in the bathroom, along the floors, in corners. It was obvious it had not been properly cleaned at all. The carpets smelled HORRIBLE. The odor was overwhelming and made the entire apartment feel dirty no matter how much we tried to air it out or clean. It smelled like old, soaked-in odor that was never replaced. There were cracked window frames with visible gaps and buildup, damaged caulking in the shower corners, and broken refrigerator drawers. It did not feel move-in ready whatsoever. When we brought up these concerns, the owner, Tom, was extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of acknowledging the condition of the apartment, we were given two options: 1. Continue paying rent until they find another tenant — even though we were not living there. 2. Pay two months’ rent to break the lease. We had only “stayed” for 5 days and never even spent a full night there because of the condition of the unit. The entire situation felt unfair and unprofessional. Tenants deserve a clean, safe, properly maintained apartment when they move in. That was not our experience here.

I love this place it’s nice and quiet but I had a bad experience with my apartment transfer my feed back is to have everything in one place I had two balances on two different platforms and it’s another platform for maintenance one for paying rent one for checking your lease is just all too much. It would be great if everything was in one central location.

I moved in in 2022 and moved out July 2025. No fault of the apartment massive lay off at work. Any who because I no longer live there and was a resident for several years I can give an honest and genuine review. The apartment complex overall was very clean and the staff was always very nice and professional. I did have a one-bedroom apartment and I hardly ever had an issue with maintenance. Obviously staying in the apartment for almost 4 years there were certain things that would happen IE mirror in bathroom may lose a screw. Overall maintenance request was handled almost immediately. Swimming pool and gym is open to all residents, but I will say they do not play about keeping the environment safe. Also Madison Heights Police Department is about a five-minute walk from the apartment so it is very very very safe. I also loved being able to pay my rent online. Before bilt we could pay it directly on the website. This worked for me because I worked two jobs. They really offer convenience. This is one of the more affordable and cleanest apartments within the area. If you dont have transportation to get around dont worry because everything is walking distance. The movie theatre is right around corner. In that same plaza you have a target, crab and karoke, etc. If you like to have a night on the town you can stay in madison heights or you can go to royal oak which is about ten minutes away. So convenient. Lexington Village is one of those apartments that still offer you a reliable apartment at an affordable rate. They dont overcharge you like everybody else. Warm and friendly environment. I absolutely loved living here and I have zero complaints. You wont have any regrets moving here.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!! If I could give 0 stars I would, for the last 3 winters I have dealt with barely no heat! As of recent for January out of the whole month my heat worked for FOUR days. They refused to deduct rent despite using the portable heater they provided increasing your dte bill, the maintenance men have all told me they couldn’t figure it out Im not sure why this hasn't been permanently fixed yet its pathetic and legally it is considered uninhabitable. I had heat this week to wake up this morning freezing. Again no heat. Im currently speaking with a landlord tenant attorney because Im fed up.
