It was a wonderful experience from the very beginning to the end. Jessica in the office answered our questions promptly every time we needed information. She was extremely helpful, especially since the moving-in process can be very confusing. We truly appreciated her support throughout the entire process.

An okay place to live if it’s your first apartment. The price does not reflect the quality of living at all. The walls are paper thin and you hear everything, all around you. The original maintenance team that they had was incompetent and half of my apartment is falling apart or was installed incorrectly, but they won’t fix those issues with the new team. The insulation is so bad I feel a breeze through my outlets and the floorboards. My window has been leaking all year and they don’t know how to fix it. When I signed my lease, there was a resident who was in distress because they wouldn’t fix a request she desperately needed, and that should’ve been a red flag. The only nice staff member has left, the rest is short tempered and won’t give you clear answers. They raise the rent even though there’s nothing in this complex that justifies the price. The trash valet might now show up, and despite the clear rule of keeping your trash in your can, some residents keep their trash on the curb which attracts critters that rip into their trash all night and leave a mess. If you’re fine with an overpriced apartment in a good location but bad quality of life, then this is for you.

The Ascent is a quiet and clean apartment complex. My apartment itself was really nice- in particular, the updated kitchen and bathroom felt fancy. The complex is well-maintained and I never had any issues with things like snow removal. Valet Living comes and picks up trash from your door 5 days a week. No problems with things like paying rent, getting the security deposit back, etc. They also offer yearly carpet cleaning after you renew your lease, which was really nice. When I first moved to my apartment in 2022, the management was very responsive and quickly handled maintenance problems. Maintenance got less responsive when management changed. For example, there were a couple times when my shower faucet would break and I waited 3-5 days before anyone came out to fix it. As of fall 2025 (when I left), maintenance would often mark work orders as completed when nobody had actually come out to even look at the problem. The AC was broken in the gym all summer, so it was often as warm as 80 degrees in there during the day. I discussed this with other gym-goers who said they were also reporting it to no avail, but the staff tried to tell me that the problem had been fixed and that I was the only person reporting it. This was really frustrating! Overall, I had a positive experience living at The Ascent, but it was always a struggle when something needed to be repaired.

This was the worst experience ever. The only good thing about this place was location. From the beginning the leasing office messed up multiple times how they set up our account, after months of sending a request to correct, they say they did and it wasn't fixed accurately. We provided and confirmed our own renters' insurance through their 3rd party, but looks like their systems are not kinked we were charged for 4-5 months until caught it. Maintenance unskilled and inexperienced as well as management. They using so many third-party companies, it's insane to keep track of everything and all those charges from everywhere, when you ask leasing office they will refer you to that other company. Unit's 2nd bathroom wasn't ready to be used when we moved in, the light fixture wasn't secured in a kitchen and one night it just fall off, luckily no one was there. No lights on the front entrance as well. Pool has been closed almost half of the summer, due to resident's negligence and maintenance issues. Management only replies by email, when it's convenient for them or they need something. Didn't disclose any of those extra fees before agreement signed, after that expect additional almost $100. Double fee for trash/trash valet which is whole different story, they didn't pick up trash regularly, twice i had to put a sticker for them to pick up. Place is a mess and definitely need some good shake in MANAGEMENT OFFICE. Property is managed by the company in California, tried to reach out to them to complain, unsuccessful. Leasing office email replies were short, unprofessional, not helpful, rude. Also, if you are forced to use the Creditor for the non-refundable security deposit be ready to renew every year and pay hundreds. Couldn't wait to end this lease!
