If I could give no stars I would!!!!
I rarely write reviews unless I'm either extremely satisfied or, in this case, extremely dissatisfied. I recently scheduled a tour of this apartment complex, and my experience was far below expectations.
When I initially set up my appointment, I was asked a series of thorough questions, which gave me the impression that the leasing agent would be well-prepared to show me the unit, answer my questions, and present the property in the best light. Unfortunately, the reality was the complete opposite.
Upon arrival, the area seemed sketchy, as there was a fight taking place at the Beyond Juicery next door, which already left me uneasy. It’s worth mentioning that my time was limited since I made this special trip to tour several apartments on my favorites list to finalize my decision. I’m moving over 15 hours and across 7 states to Michigan, so every moment counted.
I had extreme difficulty gaining access to the building and attempted to call the leasing office multiple times with no answer. Thankfully, a kind resident passing by opened the door for me. Upon entering the leasing office, I wasn’t greeted as one might expect. Instead, I was met by a leasing agent named Kameryn, who was scrolling on her phone and seemed completely unphased by my presence.
I mentioned I had an appointment to tour the property, but Kameryn didn’t seem to care. Instead of being prepared with the details of my appointment, she started asking a long list of questions that I had already answered during the scheduling process. When I mentioned my budget, she abruptly cut me off, saying the available units were out of my price range. Even though this was the case, I had gone through the process of setting up the appointment, so I still wanted to see the unit. Kameryn sighed loudly, as if my request was a burden, and listed several tasks she needed to complete before showing me the unit.
During the tour, she remained quiet and disengaged. Upon arriving at the unit, she stood in the corner and told me I could look around without offering any information about the property, its amenities, or features. When I asked her to share details about the apartment or the complex, she responded with a passive-aggressive "What do you want to know?" At this point, it was clear she had no interest in providing a positive experience, and I was not about to do her job for her.
When we toured the amenity floor, I noticed packages were dumped haphazardly in a common area with no system for delivery to individual doors, which was a huge red flag for me. Kameryn seemed annoyed by my questions about this, even though package security is a major concern for many renters.
On our way back to the leasing office, we shared an elevator with a man Kameryn seemed to know. Ironically, she spoke more to him during the short ride than she had to me during the entire tour. Her lack of professionalism and disinterest in her job were glaring.
While the units themselves were beautiful and spacious, the lack of organization, security concerns, and Kameryn’s dismissive attitude left me with no desire to move forward with this property. I left still unsure of the property’s features and amenities, and the brawl outside certainly didn’t help.
I hope management seriously reconsiders the staff they place in customer-facing roles, as Kameryn’s attitude is unacceptable in any setting. Please beware if you're considering this property.
