  I lived here for the past 15 months and am only moving because I am being transferred for work. My stay here was perfect. Its very clear the manager and staff care about the property and the residents. Angela is one of those people who no matter what kind of day you are having can make you laugh. She handled the few issues I had quickly and efficiently. Melvin was always polite and professional. He completed my work orders the first time, usually the same day. I would absolutely live here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment.

  I have lived at this property since they started renovating it and cant say enough. I have lived in apartments my entire adult life and this place has the best management I have ever come across. Angela always makes time for the residents, and makes you feel like family. She runs a tight property that is quiet and clean, where everyone is welcomed and respected. Truly a unique Gem in Detroit. She deserves a promotion for the amazing job she does.

  Be prepared to go to court to recover your security deposit. I would not recommend Good Homes Detroit. After my son’s lease ended in April 2025, only part of the $500 security deposit was returned, and it was not paid within the 30 days required by law. The remaining balance had to be pursued through small claims court. Even after the court awarded judgment, the apartment complex still did not pay. I had to return to court to file for garnishment of their bank account, and the balance was ultimately paid through court-ordered garnishment in February 2026 — many months later. This was extremely time-consuming for a relatively small amount that should have been handled properly from the beginning.
