Let's start with the good: The people who work there on site in the front office and the cleaners are all amazing people and make you feel welcomed. They try their absolute best. Maintenance team is always super quick and explains everything to you. For the most part, it's a clean and presentable building. They host holiday and community events
Okay...the building is nice and in theory the amenities are too. However, within the last year, things have been going quickly down hill. The elevator concerns are well documented. 3 elevators and it's an absolute rarity if all 3 are working at once. Most of the time only 1 is working. Many people, including myself have gotten stuck in them. A lot of times, the elevators are all out of service. This is a 10 story building - many days where the elderly, physically disabled, pregnant women, toddlers, parents with small children and strollers, old dogs and dogs that can't hold it in going down 10 flights of stairs, etc have had to trek up and down the stairs.
The garage gates (paid) are also frequently out of service. A few times where people were not able to get in or out of the garage. People had to park around the neighborhood and in the visitor spots in from of the building....only to get emails when its fixed to move their car the same day so they dont get towed.
There have been days and weeks at a time where the doors have been unlocked. One of the things we pay premium for here is safety and security. There hasn't been a consistent concierge person at the front desk in what seems like forever.
Many of these issues occur on Sundays and there is usually nobody available to help. If you need help with getting a package that was delivered to the office, if there is something malfunctioning, etc and it's a Sunday...forget about it. The concerns going to the email address they give also rarely get responded to in a timely manner - or at all.
No open windows, but that's already known. Wasn't a deal breaker....but a lot of apartments are having problems with water leaking in and condensation on the windows. Where water problems show, a huge problem is brewing.
Nice fitness center....but for over a week now the TVs and Treadmills have not been working. Rarely clean and nobody enforces the rules if putting back the weights.
This place had potential but there a lot of money that needs to be put in to it. I've been to apartments in DC that are around the same cost, have more amenities and better safety, and include things like rooftop pools and 24 hour/7 day concierge. Something is going to have to change here.

To The Oxford Community Staff & EV owners,
The blatant misuse of the electric vehicle charging stations has reached an unacceptable level. These chargers are a premium amenity provided for the benefit of the entire community, not a private long-term parking solution for a select few.
Leaving your vehicle plugged in for days at a time—long after it has reached a full charge—is incredibly selfish. Your refusal to move your vehicle is preventing others from utilizing a service they are equally entitled to. This "luxury" is being ruined by a complete lack of basic courtesy and common sense. Charging bays are for active charging only. Vehicles left stationary for more than 40 hours after a charge is complete is a blatant disregard for the established EV policy that the community sends out. If you need to monitor your vehicle's status use the ChargePoint App or your specific manufacturer's portal immediately. Don't be the reason this amenity is restricted or removed for everyone.
Community EV Charging Etiquette:
1. Monitor Your App: Please use your vehicle’s app to track your charging status.
2. The "Done? Move!" Policy: Move your car as soon as it is finished charging so your neighbors can use the plug.
3. Never Unplug Others: Unless there is a "valet" system or a note from the owner, please do not touch another resident’s vehicle or charging cable.
4. Tidy Cables: Wrap the cord back on the hook to prevent tripping hazards and damage to the equipment.
Thanks!

Place offers a variety of layouts and modern style appliances which is nice. Location is convenient. Outside of that, it’s not worth the money. Windows don’t open and the elevators are a nightmare. Have 3 elevators but only 1 works and you’re lucky if you don’t get stuck on it. It’s been an on going issue for years and they can’t seem to get it right.
Update: they sent an email out on 12/26 staying that 2 out of 3 elevators are fully operational. We get an email today 1/8/26 stating that all 3 elevators are out of service. Completely unacceptable. Not worth the headache or money. A true safety hazard.
