  I have been living here for about a month now, and I must say that from beginning to move in, I have felt the love and friendliness of the staff here at "The Oaks". From the beginning when I called and spoke with Ms. Brooks, she was very welcoming, as she described the property and reassured me that I would love it here, to when I came to visit the property and met with her. Her smile and enthusiasm to help is what made me believe that this was the place for me. I did a tour of the property and was very happy with what I was shown and from there I knew this was HOME. Ms. Brooks made my transition from my prior residence to here a great one. It's like I had my very own personal tour guide. When it was time to sign my lease, she put me in the hands of Ms. Tykia, as Ms. Brooks was out of the office. Ms. Tykia and Ms. Brooks, I have named "The Oaks Ladies" as their professionalism and eager to help makes this place to be. I haven't had any issues with my apartment since I've been here, and I believe you will love it here too. I highly recommend asking for either Ms. Brooks or Ms. Tykia to make your experience just as great as my experience was.

  The only reason this property has the rating it does is because residents are pressured to leave reviews during the leasing process—before they even move in. This is genuinely one of the worst places I’ve lived. After a snowstorm two weeks ago, the walkways were never properly cleared. Management then sent out a passive-aggressive email claiming all walkways had been cleared, which was simply untrue. Getting from the parking lot to your apartment is unsafe and feels like an accident waiting to happen. The leasing staff, especially Brooks, are consistently disrespectful and unprofessional. For the amount being charged, the level of mismanagement is unacceptable. Paying $1,700 a month for a property in this condition is laughable. This place is poorly run, overpriced, and completely embarrassing. I will be reporting these issues to the appropriate Maryland agencies.
