If zero stars were an option, that would still be too generous.
This place has gone completely downhill since Allegiant-Carter Management took over—it’s not just bad, it’s borderline unlivable. What used to be a decent community has turned into a full-blown nightmare. Apartments flooding with raw sewage isn’t an “issue,” it’s a health hazard. Elevators are constantly broken, leaving residents stranded. “Secured” doors don’t secure anything—this building is basically open to whoever feels like walking in. Vandalism and theft is the norm here.
Let’s talk about the amenities you’re forced to pay for: half of them don’t work, and the other half are always “temporarily unavailable” (which really means indefinitely closed). Meanwhile, package theft is rampant, and the property is consistently filthy, with pet waste left everywhere like basic sanitation just doesn’t exist here.
Maintenance requests are a joke. You can submit them, follow up, call, email—it doesn’t matter. They either ignore you or drag things out until you give up. And the management team? Completely unprofessional, dismissive, and more concerned with covering themselves than actually fixing anything. They will tell you whatever is convenient in the moment, whether it’s true or not—so if you’re smart, you’ll document every single interaction. Also, it would serve you to keep track of your payments yourself and not trust the ledgers they provide you.
Any five-star reviews you see should be taken with a massive grain of salt. Either they’re fake, incentivized, or written by people who haven’t lived here long enough to see how bad it really gets. The terrible Google ratings, BBB complaints, and NUMEROUS City of Hyattsville citations aren’t random—they’re earned.
Bottom line: this place is unsafe, unsanitary, and grossly mismanaged. The rent they charge is outrageous for what you actually get, which is stress, frustration, and a constant battle just to have basic living conditions met. They’ll gladly take your money and give you absolutely nothing in return.
Do yourself a favor—run, don’t walk, away from this complex.
