As much as I love to complain; I'll give a fair review:
Context: Studio Apartment; 1 year tenant (Still current). Not native, moved from PA by myself.
PROS: Studio is actually pretty decent and I haven't had a roach problem like others. My areas pretty quiet, but then again, I'm either asleep or at work so, grain of salt.
CONS: Yes, 8 years later (from looking at the reviews, the earliest one mentioning mice) there's still a mouse problem. I've seen three. The "pest control"... they leave sticky traps, dust their hands "welp our work here is done!". Idk if they spray or anything, I'm at work when they're doing their "job", I can't give any specifics, but I have seen the sticky traps. Ineffective.
Thin walls; I don't mind usually, but when your toddler is screaming at 12-1am and I'm trying to sleep; because I have to be at work early, c'mon...do something; don't just have her tire herself out. And I can hear the mice skittering about.
Personal CON: The AC in my apartment has a reset filter light, I did call maintenance and they did replace it. It came on a week later. So it's something with the AC, I'm guessing. Idk I'm not HVAC certified.
-------------------------------------------
One's fair enough, mostly because of the mice problem y'all have had for 8+ years and there's still issues to this day. High, exorbitant prices, but the quality and standards are very mediocre.
Decent place if ur moving out for the first time, but a little pricey considering you only get basic amenities
Do not move here. i will be taking legal actions due to breaking my lease here. The unit was infested with roaches. I have so many photos from them sneaking into apartment later that day after signing my lease to put boric acid all around the apartment & left the front door unlocked in a rush. I don’t have if they remove my review. i will be submitting it every single day especially for allowing me to sign a lease knowing it’s infested with roaches! The unit was uninhabitable & they knew this.

Hartland is ok if you looking for a cheap or reasonable apartment to rent that is pretty much safe. The apartment can use some improvement as far painting and replacing the blinds that been in these apartment for over 100 years. I think the laundry room in the basement is awful. The room needs to be clean and floors need to be redone. I try to keep the door to the laundry room close. I have to mention that maintenance can be slow with repairing.

I wrote the info at HendersonWebb email, and asked for a return phone call to discuss a flea infestation; despite my not having a pet! Although the exterminators had came weekly around the time I wrote. It too/has taken weeks/4-5 extermination visits befor I saw any progress. I had yet to hear from a person as I requested in the letter. So my experience with HendersonWebb is poor. Back when I had the 4 to 5 years of leaking in my bathroom, I never once heard from a person. When they double charged my bank for one months rent, I still never heard from a person. I think they are unprofessional for not talking to tenants about their situations.
In terms of the exterminators contacted for HW……they’ve been to my apt at least 4 to 5 times, (maybe moor), but I was also told not to be in the apartment when they come. I have no clue how their performance is. However, whatever they are using to exterminate my apartment, did not work for more than two days at a time, before I would start feeling fleas start coming out again. Although I do not know how well of a job they did, I know whatever they used to exterminate apt. their process and knowledge of fleas & their life cycle, and how sick they can make me/ppl with autoimmune diseases, their knowledge of this is also poor. They are exterminators they should know the life cycle of a flea. It can be up to 90 days; so spraying two weeks in a row does nothing for a 90 day life cycle of fleas.
Their instructions for the extermination is to wash all your clothes in hot water; but hot water heater constantly stops working and for two days, it was 24 hours at a time, in the last month! More to come!
