  We purchased a home here in May. Overall, the experience with our sales representative Jennifer and project manager Carlo was excellent—the building process went smoothly and communication was clear. Unfortunately, our experience with NVR Mortgage was extremely disappointing. Our settlement date was scheduled for early September (set back in June when the drywall was completed). Shockingly, the mortgage team did not begin the underwriting process until just one week before closing. From June through September, no one contacted us to request documents or provide updates. As a result, our settlement was significantly delayed, forcing us to stay in a hotel for more than two weeks while waiting for an uncertain closing without any compensation so far. This experience severely damaged our expectations and trust in NVHomes. Be very cautious if you plan to use their mortgage services.

  We recently purchased a new house in this community and it is under construction now. Our sales rep Caitlin was very informative and responsive through out the process which made it easy for us.

  I wanted to share my experience with NV Homes as a recent new home owner in the Westmount Community in Ellicott City. I will admit that I had my initial reservations (honestly with any new construction these days) when my wife and I decided to visit and sign a contract for a new home with NV homes but after going through the entire new home buying/construction process, we are very happy and glad with our experience. Our sales representative was Jack and he did a great job with getting us set up and presenting us with all our options. My only feedback to any prospective buyers is that choosing home options within the first 3 weeks was very daunting. Our Project Manager Tayler Stiles was wonderful from start to finish. Honestly, we appreciate his ability to endure through our requests and questions. From the start, he was very warm and explained everything to us, allaying our anxiety of the whole process. He encouraged us to visit as often as we wanted to and answered any questions we had during the whole time. We had shared with him a few issues we found and he immediately put a work order and by the following week, it was fixed. Gratefully, we are happy that Tayler was with us during the entire new home construction process. We went through NVR mortgage, mainly due to the incentives, and while the rates aren't the best, the entire process wasn't too tedious. Everyone was professional and we did not experience any delay in our settlement. We're very happy with the services they provided. Overall, we're still settling in and with any new home, we expect some issues but we're confident that the home warranty NV Homes provides will take care of the issues. As a side note, we had read reports of poor maintenance with the streets but we haven't experienced any issues so far. We notice that the NV homes does have street cleaning every now and then so perhaps that's been an improvement from the past. I hope this review helps any prospective home buyers. We're excited to start our new life here at Westmount!

  I inspected a house built here. Pre-drywall inspection. Overall: POOR quality. Examples: Arched floor. Gaps in walls. Windows hard to slide. Doors not vertical Steel I Beam touching exterior plywood. (how nail it?) Weak connection between foundation wall and wood frame. Numerous mistakes with foundation.
