Quality has torpedoed in the last 2 years. I have lived at the Met for about 4 years now. Most of my experience has been great. Staff, amenities, customer service, neighbors, etc. However something in the last 2 years has been slowly killing this building. I hate to pin the blame on the staff since every individual interaction I have had has been great. But I don't know who else to blame. We have unimaginably bad customer service. I'd say 70% of the emails I send to the leasing office do not get responded to. It's gotten to the point where I have made a habit of just copy and pasting my email after about a week of no response. A continuation of the customer service issue is the horrible maintenance of the amenities. Our only bench in the gym being broken for over a year. I have emailed about it probably a dozen times or more. I was then told we would get a replacement in Q4 of 2025. Somehow it not only has not been fixed, or replaced, but now it is 2026 and they removed it entirely! Which is frankly a much worse state than we were in before! Like come on guys, this is maybe a $150 fix, at this point I wish I just bought a bench my self. There's numerous other issues too, pet waste in the elevators and halls just left unattended, but at least I could chalk that up to rude neighbors, since the cleaning folks are great and deal with it promptly. The lack of reusable cups for our buildings coffee machine (then blaming it on the environment, again come on people). I could go on and on. It's sad because I love this building, but my experiences have made it to where I tell others to stay away and will likely be moving once I get the chance.

My application was denied but I haven’t received my security deposit since October, I called them today they want me to wait for another 45 days. 3 weeks ago I talked to there manager and she told me she will send it overnight, this crazy. I just want my money back. When I called they told me the check was sent to previous address, I asked them what previous address bcoz I only have one address that I gave them the same day I was denied for the apartment

We have experienced many Property Managers over the last 8 years here at The Metropolitan. The current Manager, Sean Harper, is an amazing manager. He is positive, gets things done, cares, and surrounds himself with a caring positive team. This place has had some major issues since the covid years beginning in 2020 and with Sean leading a new team The Met has turned a corner for the better!! John Migliore & Cobie V

I recently had the pleasure of touring The Metropolitan, and from start to finish, the experience exceeded my expectations. While the property has some age, its timeless charm and well-maintained appearance truly stand out. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by how clean and inviting the community felt. The leasing team greeted me with warm smiles that made a lasting first impression, and even in passing, the service team appeared professional, confident, and genuinely happy—an encouraging sign of a well-run property. Yvonne, who conducted my tour, was absolutely fantastic. She welcomed me like I was already a resident, offering a bottle of water, reviewing the tour process, and thoughtfully asking about my apartment preferences. Her kindness and attention to detail made the entire experience enjoyable and seamless. As we walked through the community, I noticed the building had a refreshing floral scent—like fresh roses—and the common areas, including the elevators, were spotless. The apartment homes themselves felt elegant and dignified, with charming touches like nameplates on each door labeled “The Metropolitan,” giving the space a sophisticated, almost condominium-like atmosphere. The hallways, while longer in design, were clearly well cared for. Though the lighting was a bit dim, it didn’t detract from the overall ambiance. I was also impressed by the cleanliness and freshness of the trash and recycling areas—often overlooked but so important in everyday living. The lobby was beautifully decorated, with tasteful accents that created a cozy and upscale feel around the seating areas. As the tour concluded, I honestly felt like I was saying goodbye to a friend. Yvonne’s warmth and professionalism made a significant impact on me. On a quick follow-up visit, I was greeted by Ayana, the Leasing Manager, who was equally welcoming with her curated professional fashion and helpful in answering a few questions I had forgotten to ask. Before leaving, I also had the chance to meet Sean, the Community Manager. Even though he was heading out, he paused to introduce himself and offered his business card, encouraging me to reach out if I had any additional questions or decided to apply. Don’t be fooled by the Google ratings and reviews . Take a look ! You just might find a new home .
