Located in the heart of historic Brewers Hill, these luxury lofts and flats provide upscale living with a distinctly unstuffy vibe. Escape while you soak in breath-taking harbor views or stay connected with free Wifi in all public areas.
Just one short block from the new Shops at Canton Crossing, featuring Target and Harris Teeter, The Gunther also offers easy access to Johns Hopkins Hospital, Fells Point, and Patterson Park. Enjoy unrivaled shopping and dining in charming O'Donnell Square or sleek Harbor East. We're an easy walk to the marina to spend the day on the bay or catch the water taxi to Oriole Park at Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium.
I never have to wait for my repairs. They are prompt, efficient, and friendly! I’ve never experienced an apartment maintenance team that is this good.

I scheduled a tour via the website last week for today 4/24. I didn’t receive a confirmation email or any follow up communication which should’ve been my first clue. The address listed is 1211 S. Conkling. I arrived at that address to a sign that said “ Office” on the side of the building on an arrow at the corner of Conkling and Toone. The sign faced a door that didn’t open so I called. I was told someone would come meet me outside. After waiting 5mins and no one came I called back and was told I was at the wrong door. I needed to be on Dean St. 1. Update your “office” sign to say “ office on Dean St.” 2. Most places contact you BEFORE a scheduled tour to provide details like where to park, what entrance to come in, and even ask details about what you’re looking for in the apartment. Once I was finally able to find the appropriate door and go in I found a nice lobby and welcoming staff. I was left to fill out a guest card while the leasing staff went elsewhere. She returned with information on 2 apartments… both available 20 days AFTER I need to move. So this entire experience was a waste of time and could’ve been avoided with better communication. Do better.

After living here for 6 years, I can confidently say that The Gunther is a wonderful apartment complex with exceptional staff who truly care for residents. The community manager, Sherron, and assistant property manager, Michelle, are always communicative and helpful. Several years ago I had a neighbor with a loud dog, and they worked to find a solution to reduce the noise. Since that time, I haven't had any issues with noise from our neighbors or their pets. Wayne, our maintenance manger, is always prompt with any maintenance requests and usually responds within (or less than) 24 hours. The community is in a safe, walkable area near several grocery stores (Sprouts, Harris Teeter, Safeway), easy access to I-95 and I-895, and a ~20 minute drive to the Johns Hopkins Hospital. I highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a home in Baltimore.
