Madera Apartments Review I’ve only been here 7 weeks and the issues are nonstop: • Toilet seat broke after 2 days — nails were poking out. I told maintenance, he never came back, so I had to buy a new plastic one myself. • Shower takes 10+ mins to get hot, water pressure is weak in both sinks, and the tub doesn’t drain properly. • Dead mouse in the wall plus 7 more caught since early July. • Roach caught on trap 8/4/25, baby roach in the sink the next day. I don’t leave food out or dishes in the sink. I barely even cook — I’m disgusted. • Large hole where mice are getting in still uncovered. I was told maintenance was coming twice (7/21 and 8/5). Both times — no one showed. Saw him driving off in his truck instead…. A joke. • Maintenance is unreliable. Tickets were placed by email and in person, but no follow-up. Only one guy services both Madera and Union Rowe. • Exterminators came once weeks ago. I was told they come biweekly — clearly not true. • Leasing office is impossible to reach. Calls get forwarded constantly. • RentCafe doesn’t work. My tenant code is invalid and can’t be reset, so I can’t even submit maintenance requests. This place may be cheap, but there’s a reason. My home is spotless — no crumbs, no trash, nothing left out — and yet I’m dealing with mice and roaches. I’ve never dealt with this in my life. Thank God I was given an electric mouse zapper, because I’ve caught 7 mice already. Without it, we’d be overrun. One mouse died in the wall and the smell was awful. My mom helped me move the stove and search the cabinets — we couldn’t find it, but that’s where the smell was coming from. I even bombed the entire apartment before moving in — one can per room — back in early June. I did everything right. So to now be seeing roaches? That’s an infestation. I don’t care if it’s one or two — that means there are more. I won’t be renewing. Just trying to get on my feet and move somewhere livable as soon as possible.

I just moved in and I feel that the price you can’t beat but the company do things when they feel like it and you don’t necessarily see the apartment before you pay and it’s little things that need repairs and they only have one maintenance man which is wild the hall ways are nasty need paint and cleaning the grounds are kept ok it’s small things that I can complain about but if you are looking for a fresh start this would be it get a cat the mice a trip per others have told me myself no issues

I don't know why the City didn't tear this place down when they demolished all the other houses on that street. That place is poorly constructed like an empty box. You can hear everybody that comes in the buildings. And tenants hang in the hallways like inmates on tiers.

They are big and spacious however , mice and bug problem heavy. Maintenance is very sorry walls falling in and cracking , I don't suggest no one to live there
