Maintenance is very nice and quick. As well as communication with the leasing office is very smooth even with me being on a night shift schedule. Apartments and areas around are always clean. Would definitely recommend to others

My sister and I have lived at Ellet Garden apartments for over 10 years. We love it here. There are no big parties and very quiet. The maintenance men do a great job and Alicia in the office is a great and helpful person.

Fees fees fees. Parking sucks, trash always everywhere had to pay a 50 dollar fee every month on top of my rent. ohh and when you want to move out you have to give them a 3 month notice and the longer you wait to tell them your moving the more expensive the rent is. You have to pay a 20 dollar for each pet to have a pet profile so thats an extra 40 a month on top of the pet deposit they got and the 400 a month for the 2 cats. But wait there's more. So apparently the security deposit dont mean shit cause I got a 2 page list of everything thats needs to be cleaned and done to the apartment before I turn in keys. So after all that they want me to schedule a walk through and im like okay thats cool so I schedule it for a week later right. They dont even show up and email me 5 min before they supposed to show up talking about can we reschedule. Like I already done told my work I was gonna be late and already there waiting and everything. Ugh absolutely over this place and so unprofessional. Hopefully this helps someone make the right decision about this place or already give them some insight on what they will have to deal with when moving out..

We have lived at the elms for about 8 months now. The location is great, the apartment is nice, but I am leaving this review in hopes of some resolution.
Our neighbors unit caught on fire. The hallway flooded. We are glad everyone is okay. However, we have been living in a construction zone for months. Upon reaching out to the office it takes them not weeks… but months to respond. Not only were our lives at risk, so was our pets’. We were even told “atleast you weren’t displaced” as if that is something we should have to worry about paying nearly $3k a month for a 1 bedroom apartment. We have been offered no concession, or even information from property management. They just forward our email to maintenance without answering any questions.
UPDATE: see attached photos. The property management (Adrienne Newson) forwarded us to regional management (Cheryl Henley) instead of responding to us… and the same dismissing response was given. And the repairs have still not been made, 3 + months later.
With the amount of water that was released from the sprinklers, we had to beg for them to come check for moisture and mold.
Additionally, when our heat kicks on, the fire alarm goes off, every time without fail. This has occurred since November (Still occurring in mid February)
We also have been exposed to CO2. The garage was cleaned leading to excessive CO2. This was greeted with again, a lack of accountability.
There are a variety of other gripes we have but these are the most substantial. Others include a downstairs neighbor who complains that we walk around, renting the club room for our engagement party and it not being cleaned ahead of time as promised, front door always being broken, disgusting dog park that is never kept clean, and packages being refused by concierge.
UPDATE: Live here if you want to live with dog pee in various common areas or overflowing trash rooms while paying a trash fee!
With that being said maintenance is wonderful, they are so knowledgeable and do the very best they can. This is not regarding their performance at all, as it is stellar compared to anywhere else I have lived.
We are so disappointed in the building’s lack of concern for our safety and peace of mind.

After living in this building for just under 3 years and joining the community when the building was at 12% occupancy we watched the Elms turn into the building that it is today.
I’d like to say Lakendra and Adrienne in leasing are clearly trying their very best with what they have and Wynter does not make their job any easier or keep rapport with tenants any friendlier - these are people’s homes.
I would liken living in this building as a tenant with the relationship to management (as good tenants without faults) to that of living in a dorm in college with resident advisors.
Leasing will, and does, contact you about any and all issues - no matter how small, with threat of fines. Having lived in other buildings and now having moved, this is not normal. If you care about your management or leasing relationship where you choose to live - I would not live in this building.
No tenants may decorate their doors, their doorsteps, or leave shoes right outside when it’s snowed or rained. Every door / home must look uniform.
The drains, in both our and our friends’ apartments smelled of sewage consistently which the building noted as just “a building issue.” In the winter the fire alarms (every year we lived there) go off in the middle of the night, (2am, 4am, 1am) for multiple weeks at random - with a large number of residents working in healthcare.
There was no resolution to, or compensation for this.
The garage “needed to be cleaned” so all tenants which pay to park their cars had to move their cars for two days, the first time the job was cancelled so after moving our cars we had to move them back.
The second time, the building brought massive trucks onto the second floor of the garage which is a completely closed space with no ventilation and operated all day - CO2 spread into the building and up to the top floor where it reached levels that were unsafe for people to remain in the building. The Elms did not notify tenants of this until 4pm. I got a knock on my door by a fireman telling me my apartment, which my animals had been in all day, had had one of the highest levels of CO2 he had seen.
Through this incident we were made aware of intercoms in our apartment which maintenance and leasing used to "make announcements" to us at 7:30am. No idea if these are two-way or one-way but a huge privacy issue.
Again no compensation, or apology for this incident.
Along with this have been massive leaks in the lobby and a host of other problems.
My point is, Legend Management and leasing remains highly unorganized and have a massive problem with taking REAL accountability for the much larger issues which cause genuine damage and disruption to their tenants' lives.
On a much more personal note while the building is beautiful, and the apartments are lovely, they are very poorly done. You hear everyone, and we were on the top floor. Our dishwasher never fully worked, the water pressure is terrible. If you live facing any inner courtyard or garden - the building does not clean your windows. There is a constant loud “flapping” sound throughout the building which can be heard from any apartment when the wind blows. Given we had lots of friends in the building on different floors / locations this review is also written on their behalf as well.
The pros of this building are the safety for the location, with a doorman at the front without being in central inner harbor or harbor east. The people that generally live in this building are wonderful, very friendly, and lovely neighbors. Maintenance, could, and should be heavily rewarded by Legend Management. These gentlemen and their response, and patience in cleaning up the mess which management creates for the tenants is unparalleled. Especially Luis - But really the entire team is made of wonderful people.
We were relieved to leave the Elms, and had we needed to stay in Baltimore - which we loved - we would’ve moved to a different building or home. Again being a part of the Elms from the beginning we watched it shift and grow. For the price, you can get better.
