I’ve had such a great experience living at 1405 Point Street! The apartments are modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed — the floor-to-ceiling windows, high-end finishes, and open layouts make it feel so bright and comfortable. The amenities are incredible too the gym is always spotless, the rooftop views are amazing, and the common areas are perfect for working or relaxing. What really sets 1405 Point apart, though, is the management team. They’re always friendly, responsive, and genuinely care about the residents specifically James. Any maintenance requests I’ve submitted have been handled quickly, and the front office team goes out of their way to make sure everyone feels welcome. You can tell they take pride in keeping the building running smoothly and the community enjoyable. It’s also in an ideal location close to the water, restaurants, and everything you could want in Harbor Point. I honestly couldn’t be happier living here and would highly recommend 1405 Point to anyone looking for a great place to call home in Baltimore!

I love my apartment unit. The views are beautiful and I often get amazing sunsets to watch when I’m home from work. The two bedroom layout is perfect for me and my WFH fiance. My work orders are usually completed in a timely manner (my microwave was broken on move in and took months to fix. The other minor issues I’ve had were quicker and the repairman has been very sweet to work with) My issues, however, are with the function of our “luxury” building. I have been at this apartment for 1.5 years now and during this time, have had frequent interrupts to my comfort and amenities. For 17 floors, there is often only one elevator in use. For the past 3 months alone this has been the case. This is quite frustrating when trying to leave or come home from work, often waiting 10 minutes or more to leave the building. This adds on a significant amount of time to my commute in the morning. I live on the 14th floor so I cannot feasibly take the stairs. The in unit fire alarms die every 3 months. They are supposed to have batteries changed/tested during inspections but they don’t, they only change the air filters. This causes chirping in my apartment every 3 months as each battery dies and requires replacing (3 smoke detectors dying at different intervals every 3 months is very frustrating). There are not enough mail lockers for this building. They are usually full and instead of being placed in the locker for you to grab, are piled in a package room. I have had “lost” packages before with no resolution. When you ask for help from the front desk, they almost always have a bad attitude. This stresses me out when I’m just trying to receive a package. One time a friend delivered an edible bouquet to my apartment, and I never received a text or alert it was with the front desk and it sat for hours downstairs until my friend ultimately had to spoil the surprise. The boxes are often jammed and require someone from security to reset the boxes and pull your package by hand. When there is such a large “lounge” area on the first floor that is NEVER used, I don’t understand how we can’t have a functional mail system for the amount we pay in rent. Hot water has been turned off around 5 times during my time here for water pipe repairs. There has also been flooding on some of the lower floors and the gym which required repairs and was out of use for a while. The lounges on the 11th floor are nice but the tv / speakers often do not work. The small gaming tables where you can play Pac-Man and joystick gaming is also always broken. I bought grilling supplies when my mom was visiting and found the grills to be out of gas. I am quite sad the building is run this way. If they offered rent reduction or compensation for these issues, I would understand. For the price I pay to live here, I am ultimately dissatisfied with the quality of what’s offered.

You have to wait 10 minutes for an elevator just to touch some grass. Its a systemic management issue. Do not move here.

Lived here for over a year and had a poor experience, largely due to maintenance issues and apathetic management. Some example issues: - Elevators did not function for over a month. In a building with ~20 floors. - Hot water was often out for days at a time. - The fire alarm would go off in the middle of the night about once a month 1405 did not seem to care about the effect of any of this on the residents and offered no concession on rent or utilities. I assume they have heavy turnover and rely on new tenants for revenue.

I lived at 1405 Point for just over one year and recently moved out. Keeping in mind that they bill themselves as a luxury complex and the rent reflects this, I was quite disappointed in my experience. Overall, I would not recommend 1405 Point due to persistent and highly disruptive maintenance issues and disrespectful management. Location: Great location and very walkable. The area can be noisy, especially on the weekends. Recommend facing the water to alleviate some of the noise. Apartments: The furnishings are somewhere between perfectly fine and quite nice. No complaints here. Amenities: Particularly nice gym with two peloton bikes. Pool and grills are also nice. Common area was fairly comfortable with reasonable WiFi if working from home. Management: Nearly every interaction I had with management was disappointing. Whenever stopping by the leasing office, I found their response to be curt or straight up rude. No sense of understanding or desire to helpful - it seemed as if they couldn’t wait for me to leave. When small problems occurred during move in, there was no motivation to be helpful. When larger complex-wide issues occurred, the communication was delayed and unsatisfactory. Maintenance: This is overwhelmingly the biggest downside to 1405 Point. Throughout my time here, the building was plagued with maintenance problems, many of which were highly disruptive. There are 2 regular elevators that service the lobby and all floors, as well as a dedicated service elevator. Twice during my time here, one elevator was out of service for more than a month. In a 17 story building, this was unacceptable. Communication from management was, as expected, poor and they seemed to blame residents for this happening. Additionally, there were frequent plumbing issues that necessitated shutting off water to the entire building to resolve. This probably happened a dozen times while living year for a single year. Just before moving out, there was some AC problem that resulted in no AC to select apartments for 3.5 days when the heat index outside was 100F. The temporary portable ACs were woefully inadequate and my apartment was 82 degrees. Overall, the maintenance issues are unacceptable in general, and especially in light of the premium cost of living here. I would not recommend 1405 Point.
