  This is a longer review than I typically do because I appreciate a comprehensive post when researching apartments. I have lived at RAJ for 4-5 years and been in three different units. The location is fantastic with multiple major thoroughfares in close proximity. I appreciate having the MARC-Camden line across the street and the variety of food trucks that come each month. Overall, the building is quiet. You might hear music or talking while walking the halls, but it usually stops after you enter your unit. There are monthly activities if you're looking to connect with neighbors. Neighbors are generally friendly and polite. A large reason for my rating is the leasing staff. Despite changes in management companies during my time here, the staff maintained consistency and did not let residents feel the brunt of changes or certain policies. I've lived in multiple apartments in multiple cities and cannot say how rare that is. Turnover in the office has been rare, which means the staff really get to know you. Jasimon is the heart and soul of the team. She's been here since RAJ opened its doors about eight or nine years ago. The office's care and consideration of residents is also manifested through its enforcement of lease terms and community policies - something not consistently done in other communities. (Not fun for rulebreakers perhaps, but appreciated by those who do.) Maintenance responds to my service requests quickly. They answer my questions and make sure everything is cleaned up (if needed) before they leave. The cleaning staff are incredibly kind as well and keep this huge building looking good. I appreciate having the Amazon hub downstairs and combo coffee house/sandwich shop/micro-brewery across the street. Uber Eats, Walmart, and Whole Foods deliveries are easy to get. (Hint: Help your delivery drivers out by putting directions to your unit in the order notes. They appreciate it!) The conference room has been helpful, too. I can easily host meetings without having to have everyone in my apartment. No place is perfect. In a building this size, there will be people who aren't considerate, owners who don't walk their pets in a timely fashion, and drivers who can't seem to park correctly. They are the outliers, however, and should not impact my rating since staff attempts to address issues when they arise. I have never felt unsafe and am happy to have renewed my lease again.

  I would like to recognize Tameka King for her professionalism and kindness. She has been a fantastic resource on all questions as it relates to the lease, property, and life at the Residences at Annapolis Junction throughout my move-in experience.

  So far living here has been without noise or other problems except I didn't have HVAC on for the entire winter and of course I got charged for it. Now that is interesting, isn't it?

  I leased this apartment for a year and this community feels unnecessarily restrictive due to how it is managed. The building manager Christy, who lives in the apartment building, closely monitors tenants and frequently raises complaints over minor, everyday activities—such as having guests over, speaking at a normal volume in your own apartment, or even driving carefully in the parking garage. It feels like residents are unable to enjoy their own living space, despite paying for it. The overall environment comes across as overly watchful, uncomfortable, and unhealthy. Giving one star only for good apartment quality, but what’s the point of living in such a community where you feel uncomfortable.

  I’ve had a really positive experience living here and would highly recommend this apartment community to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed place to call home. First,the location is incredibly convenient to shopping, dining, and major roads, which makes errands and commuting easy. The community itself is clean, quiet, and well-maintained. The apartment units are thoughtfully designed, with modern finishes and plenty of natural light.Maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently.The management team is friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about residents.They’re always responsive and helpful whenever I’ve had questions or needed assistance.I also want to highlight Tameka, who made the entire move-in process smooth and stress-free.She was knowledgeable, patient, and transparent about everything and took the time to answer all my questions.Overall, this has been a great place to live.I’m very happy with my decision to move here.
