  I have lived at Cumberland Homes for almost 9 years and each year it gets worse. The rent is increased every year with absolutely no investment in the property. The apartments are poorly constructed with slanted floors. Window blinds are cheap and break within two weeks. My neighbors had a pet snake that got loose and appeared in my apartment!!!! Had to call the pet police to remove it while my children and I waited in the cold. Management said I could get my paint refreshed after 7 years only to change it to 10 when I asked after being here for 7. Lastly. There is not laundry in each building rather, one washing machine and dryer to be shared between 16 families (2 buildings with 8 apartments in each). My daughter slipped and fell on the ice in the parking lot and hurt herself. And if you park in their lot without a sticker your car will be towed. It happened to me and I’ve seen many cars towed from the lot late at night while you’re unsuspecting. Terrible place to live. Wouldn’t recommend.

  Place tells me I’m over income qualified for a rental so I would have to do a market rent apartment. However the one available is for low income only. So you’re telling me you rather the government pay someone’s rent instead of a person paying it all themselves? Makes a lot of sense. WELCOME TO SPRINGFIELD!

  I lived at Cumberland homes for about 6 yrs. I never had any complain about the staff or maintenance. There's good upgrades in the apartments. There's plenty space in the apartments and they are very comfortable. My issues were living in the 4th floor (there's no elevator) the rent is too high for that of type floor and be prepared for the bunch of lazy neighbors which don't do anything for their lives hanguing at the parking lot drinking alcohol, smoking weed and listening really load music while the kids were around playing and this is most during summer time, the police is always around due to this problem its a shame. But even though is a good point its close to everything. Hope they would correct these issues cause otherwise would b a great place to live.
