Overall, my experience at Highland of Hudson Apartments was mostly positive, with a few practical drawbacks that are worth noting.
Heath, the Assistant Property Manager, was truly excellent. He is kind, knowledgeable, and very supportive, and he was especially helpful during our transition. His professionalism and willingness to explain things clearly made a stressful process much easier. Daniel from the maintenance team is an outstanding team player and an absolute asset to this company. Very reliable, responsive, and consistently professional.
Sean, the Property Manager, was not bad overall, though his approach could feel a bit pushy at times, particularly regarding the intent-to-vacate process. While documentation is important, the persistence around specific forms was somewhat frustrating. That said, he was not unprofessional, just more rigid than necessary.
From a living-experience standpoint, I’m not sure if this is standard for luxury apartments, but having no utilities included felt impractical. Paying separately for both water and sewer added up quickly, and we ended up paying significantly more for water than some direct homeowners in the county, which was surprising.
On the positive side, the property itself is beautiful. The landscaping is well maintained, parking is plentiful, and the opportunity to have pets is a huge plus. One small improvement I would suggest is upgrading the washer/dryer size in the one-bedroom units to match the larger machines found in the two-bedroom apartments.
Overall, the community has many strengths, and employees like Heath and Daniel truly elevate the experience. With a few practical adjustments, it could be even better.
