I consider myself incredibly fortunate to live at Beverly Village and hopefully I will be able to call it my home for a long time to come. I'm happy here. The building has been beautifully restored and re-imagined and the effort invested into the landscaping is wonderful. Today the community patio was set up with little tables complete with umbrellas and chairs and I can see it perfectly from my apartment and it makes me smile. There are only two negatives. One has been the dumpster. The dumpster is located directly 2 floors beneath my windows and when the trash company comes to empty it the sound is beyond comprehension and this takes place usually very, very early in the morning a couple of times every week and it's unbelievably startling especially when I'm often still sound asleep. It also scares the hell out of my cats and they both end jumping a country mile and hiding under my bed. Speaking of the windows. The second negative is the windows. They only open about 4 inches which limits the amount of air circulating which causes my apartment to feel uncomfortably warm and stagnant. I use a box fan but that only pulls air through at the bottom 4 inches of the fan. The rest of the fan is blocked from air getting through it. My 2 cats are also not able to sit upright on the window sills with the windows open as they have in other places we have lived. They have to crouch down low to peek out which I feel horribly guilty about. Lastly, because the windows only open 4 inches I can't hang my chimes in the windows. I miss listening to them as I have for many years. Apart from the disappointment with the windows, and the mini heart attack I endure every time the dumpster is maintained...apart from all that...the apartment is fantastic, shopping is within walking distance, the amenities are top notch and the neighbors are not noisy or disruptive.

I just moved in the beginning of Nov. and I love it. The office people go above and beyond to help you. The maintenance men are very nice also. I had to call maintenance a couple of times and it didn’t take them more than 15 minutes to get to my apartment. And the fixed the problem promptly. There is a gym a library a community room with a stove refrigerator and a microwave there are plenty of tables chairs and a little tv area. There’s a small dog wash and a dog park! They are planning more stuff like day trips and outings. I can’t wait for that. It’s a pretty good community here!!

The BVLA is a breathtaking transformation of a once-dormant public school building into a vibrant apartment complex tailored for individuals 55 and above. The former school's spaces have been creatively repurposed, now boasting a modern gym, serene yoga room, and ample accessibility features for elderly residents. The living quarters exude a modern loft-style charm, bathed in an abundance of natural light pouring in through the 12' feet spacious former classroom windows. The 'arts' in BVLA's title come alive in the form of apartments-studios reserved for local artists, providing ample space for crafting masterpieces, practicing plein-air painting, and even hosting future exhibitions. Future plans for the building include restoring the magnificent school auditorium, with the goal of bringing live theater and performances to the community. It's an exciting prospect, and we look forward to seeing it take shape!
